So many user error 1 star reviews on here that are easily fixable. These clippers can be taken apart, calibrated, and need to be oiled. As long as you do that, every 1 star review on here is wrong. I have been trimming my own hair for 20 years, and I can assure you, for home use, these clippers will last me the rest of my life. There are a lot of guards, but they only go up to 1 inch, which for me isn't a problem. Wahl is a top name in home use clippers and these are top quality Wahl clippers. If you need professional quality clippers, maybe spend more than $30. If you have never clipped hair before, maybe don't be a jerk and blame the clippers for your 1 star reviews.P.S. I am reviewing this product 1 year after I bought it and have given myself atleast 1 haircut a month. These clippers are STILL BRAND NEW. Don't be a tool and misuse your tools. Thanks.

I'VE BEEN CUTTING MY HUSBAND'S HAIR FOR MANY YEARS. IN THE PAST, I USED A VERY OLD PAIR OF WAHL CLIPPERS WITH ONE CUTTING EDGE & ONE COMB TO USE. IT FINALLY DIED.AFTER LOOKING FOR AN HOUR, THIS CLIPPER SET CAUGHT MY EYE. GOOD BRAND NAME. MANY, MANY COMBS. A CARRY CASE, AND VERY INEXPENSIVE. THEY JUST LOOKED TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. My husband wanted me to buy this mostly so he could use it for "manscaping" purposes and for me to touch up his neck between real hair cuts, but now that I have this and see how well it works and how easy it is to use, I'm considering attempting cutting my sons hair even though I have no experience cutting hair WHATSOEVER! The clippers come with everything you need to do home haircuts, including a full color, step by step instruction guide with tips and techniques etc. for cutting hair, trimming brows, going around the edges, blending etc. All in all I'm really pleased with this kit and the actual clipper itself!For starters, using it is pretty much idiot proof, which I really appreciate (assuming you can follow directions with pictures and know your colors). Also it's very quiet when it's on! Some clippers we've had in the past are SUPER loud when they're on. My son is autistic and if I have any hope of cutting his hair myself, the volume of the clippers is going to be a big factor. I think these are the quietest I've heard. The guide attachments are really easy to snap on and take off and again are idiot proof. I LOVE the different colors and how you don't have to rifle through the whole box looking for the right ones. It's also very handy that they have the color guide printed on the body of the clippers so you don't have to reference the manual every time once you know how to use them. Just reference the handle, grab the right color and off you go! If you're color blind, no need to fear, the numbers are also imprinted on each guide. :)Additionally, the case that it all comes in is very handy and I can confirm that it all fits nicely back in there once you open all the packaging! My only quibble with this kit is that in the instructions it shows a 1/8" burgundy guide but that is not included. The instructions say that some kits will not have all the guides. I think that's a little weird/lame, but whatever. There are certainly plenty that it came with to choose from. Also, I wish the cord was a little longer for more ease of use, but again these are minor things.I really am very pleased with the quality and function of this product, especially for the low price! I have used the kit a few times now and everything works REALLY well! I feel like a professional! All in all this is a great product from Wahl and I highly recommend it, especially for beginners like me! Hope this helps someone else!I did NOT receive this item free or at a discount

I'd gone to a barber, but my hair grows pretty fast, so I expected to make the trip about once a week (@ $12 a cut.) The clippers are less than $20 & include color-coded guards, so you really can't mess up unless you have an extremely unsteady hand.This is my first cut. I lined it up w/o a guard, went over the lines, then took down the sides w/the 1/8" guard. The guards being color coded is VERY helpful. I'm even confident I could cut someone else's hair.I'm a pretty handy person, so I didn't expect to do a horrible job, but I can say this is the first time I'd ever cut my own hair. Worst case scenario I mess up & just go bald...that'd be easier to cut evenly, lol.

Let er rip baby. Yes, you may see reviews that this is not an industrial strength clipper that a pro doing cuts all day long might not appreciate but for crying out loud what do people expect: that this will mow the lawn? LoL. I'm iffy about Wahl products; there are some good with not so good with them. I got this as a recommendation and for me, it works GREAT! When you measure what you get for what you pay, I don't think you can do much better. I use this for my scalp and have a different brand/type for mustache-beard and the combo is unbeatable. You get a sense of weight and quality with this and the sizes of the attachments should cover just about any length/style you are looking to handle with this style of trimmer. The funny/fun/impressive part is that when you switch this on, it powers up- I mean it fires up. It's got a motor! Recommend.

La rasuradora se siente muy resistente y está muy bien terminada, funciona muy bien y al mejor precio de México! NOTA PARA LOS NUEVOS COMPRADORES!!!, la primera vez que la encendí hacía demasiado ruido y estuve a punto de devolverla porque pensé que tenía algún desperfecto; después de leer el manual que viene incluido "donde se menciona este problema", lo único que tuve que hacer fue calibrar el "Power Screw" (es el tornillo negro que se encuentra en un costado de la rasuradora) en dirección contraria a las manecillas del reloj y asunto arreglado, quedó PERFECTA!

Muy buen producto fabricada en USA con muy buena calidad en las piezas me llegó completo nuevo y sellado, antes de comprar estuve a punto de no hacerlo por un comentario que decía que empezó a sonar muy fuerte y que no la podía usar así, solo para comentarles que hay que leer el instructivo, tiene una parte donde se calibra para que no haga ruidos raros, saludos y no duden en comprarla es una máquina profesional.

La máquina llegó en tiempo y forma, en eso todo bien. La compré para traer mi cabeza a rape, creo yo que así la calvicie se me ve menos. Sin embargo y aún sin tantísimo cabello, se llega a trabar. Constantemente es necesario estarla limpiando y lubricando para que las navajas funcionen bien. Después de un rato de uso se llega a calentar y es un poco ruidosa.ACTUALIZACIÓN:De la nada y sin siquiera a un mes de recibirla y haberla usado tal vez 5 veces, 4 dientes de una de las navajas se rompieron. Busqué hacer una devolución pero el vendedor no lo permite. Ojo con esta situación.

Excelente producto.Trae todo lo que necesitas para no volver a la peluquería, sobre todo si como yo, odias ir a la peluquería con sus olores a solventes y su ambiente...Con los peines e instrucciones de uso que se incluyen tienes todo lo necesario para hacer un muy buen trabajo con tu cabello, por torpe que uso sea (como yo lo soy! Je!)La calidad y duración de los productos Whal es impresionante! Yo no sé cómo le hacen para que sean tan durables y robustos! Mi abuelo me regaló una máquina similar a esta hacer 30 años, la cual no lubriqué adecuadamente y se oxidó de las hojas de corte... razón por la cual decidí comprar esta nueva máquina...Pero la máquina vieja sigue funcionando PERFECTAMENTE!!Y para lo que cuesta este producto, la relación costo-beneficio es impresionantemente buena!!Nadie se puede arrepentir de comprar una máquina Whal... Y si no me crees, ve las evaluaciones de todos sus productos! :)

La maquina de rasurar tiene una calidad muy buena y me ha resultado muy útil y practica. Viene en una caja de platico donde se pueden almacenar todas las piezas incluidas. La he utilizado por unos 6 meses, por lo regular uso el cabello muy corto, por lo que me basta tener las guías para cortarme yo mismo el cabello, en todo este tiempo no he tenido ningún problema, eso si antes de iniciar le pongo algo de aceite (incluido en el paquete) y al terminar la limpio muy bien.En contra: solo puedo decir que las guías y los peines son de plástico muy delgado y se doblan fácilmente con presión, no resultará problema si los usas con precaución, sin hacer mucha presión, el resultado no se ve afectado para nada.
