Its a start but needs some work.
Well folks here it is the first Yugioh dueling title for the Wii. Now to start off if your not a fan of Yugioh or of playing the card game this title will not be for you. This game has a unique board your character travels around collecting items and dueling opponents. You play a roulette game to determine how many moves you can make. Dueling against characters that appear in the game will earn you experience and the in game currency which you will need to purchase additional packs to improve the rather meager starter deck you begin the game with.Good News:-The story is interesting-The game play is a bit unusual for this kind of game but not so much as to be a draw back. When a sizeable attack lands on an opponent there is an animation.-There are summoning animations for some of the monsters in this game that are very impressive, the summoning and attack animation of Red Dragon Archfiend is stunningBad News:-Early advertisements suggested this game would be released with a Duel Scanner. This scanner is not present and it appears at this time that this game may not be compatible with the scanner-The graphics for the whole game could be better. The board the player moves on is interesting to look at but the duels themselves are lacking in animation. Given how well monsters were animated in the Forbidden Kingdom game for Game Cube I was hoping the monsters would be stunning and would stand on the field putting the DS to shame. Unfortunately the animation for the dueling portion is lacking. It reminded me of the animation to some of the early Game Boy Advanced titles. Considering this game is going to require players to be dueling a lot it seems to me the designers should have made the duels more visually appealing than they did.-Few really good monster summoning animations at this point.-This game does not sync to the DS titles. Unless there is a way to unlock this I could not find anyway to sync WC 2010 to this game which I think would have been a good idea as it could have unlocked some cards.

Possibly the best Yu-Gi-Oh! game out there.
If you've ever wanted to be a character of any of the Yu-gi-oh series, or compete against other players (without feeling stupid for holding trading cards) this is the game for you. It plays exactly like in the Anime. This game is pretty simple to understand, but as you get further into this game, it gets REALLY hardcore!! Although the game is focused on the game play and rules (there are NO major animations, except for certain special cards) it is really fun to play, and can be a little addictive, as well. Now, the pros and cons...-Pros: you can earn points mostly after winning battles, purchase sets of cards and customize your deck.face tons and tons of enemies. Come up with creative combos and outsmart your rivals. You can also play online against other players (I haven't played online myself, yet, so I'm not sure how great the competition is, out there).-cons: since it's a cards game, you don't always get the card you need (especially when you're being overwhelmed by your opponoent's moves). Some enemies seem to have the exact card they need to counter most of the moves you were planning. Some rivals play REALLY dirty (for example: you can only summon one monster per turn, and "special summon" a few more, if you have the proper cards... but this one character, in particular, could summon up to three cards a turn. :( )Overall a great game, but the battles you'll wage will be a LOT harsher than what you saw in the anime.

Fun game cheap price
Great game has all cards except the most recent like the Exceeds/numbers cards or whatever they're called. The game has everything from old to new up to all the syncro and xyz stuff.Even has online and allows you to manipulate the ban-list to an the most current to an older one you may preferor just say to heck with it all together.Arguably one of the best Yu-gi-oh games out there with the exception of the game being a little slow transitioning and the constant prompts. Now granted you can disable the prompts but then you miss your chance to activate your trap and that isn't good.Another great thing to mention is this game does have cheats to unlock all the cards so you can get right to the Action. All and all a very solid buy with its small but not at all game ruining quirks hope you enjoy!

Game Rocks
This game rocks. I have played Yugioh 13 years ago for at least 8 years but then started quitting since I rarely get a game to test out my real Yugioh deck. However, this game changed it. May not have the latest cards of the recent Yugioh cards releases such as those exceed monsters, I still enjoy playing this and trying out different deck set ups to duel.Only thing I hate about this is that, it's so hard to look for the card you are looking for. Even though you can narrow the search to get the card that you need, it still need some work by adding card codes and have it search on the game or better the keywords need to get the specific card you need a lot easier.Other than that, this is a must have game.

Not bad. Pretty good
Overall the game is not bad. The only gripe i have is the speed and graphics of the game. But overall it is fun and i would recommend to any experienced Yu Gi Oh players. Tons of cards and lots of different options. This game is for the experienced duelist. I didn't have a problem at the beginning with bad cards. Just know when to attack, activate spells and set traps right and you shouldn't have a problem.

This is a fun game for duelists but you need to know how ...
This is a fun game for duelists but you need to know how to play "duel monsters" first. Basically you start in a tournament and unlock towers with characters to duels based on the TV series and other characters unique to the game. Some monsters have special animations when summoned or attacking. You can upgrade your deck by buying packs with duel points. Data is saved automatically but you can save your game progress by clicking suspend game through your duel PDA device on the screen. Interesting story plot as well.

Awesome Game
This game is really good. There are plenty of cards that you can buy from the store and many different decks you can put together. Once i got used to the game i found it nice that there were options to turn off the constant nagging of activating a quick-play card or any spell/trap card every second of a phase.I enjoyed almost every battle up to the point where a lot of the AI's started using almost every ban card (x3). I wish there were more card animations like the Nintendo DS versions and some voices instead of just lip syncing. It was well worth the cost and this is a true Yu-Gi-Oh game compared to Wheelie Breakers which sucks.

Really awesome game!
This game is a really awesome Yu-Gi-Oh game! You can create lots of awesome recipes(decks)like Blackwings,Lightsworns,e.t.c. The only unfair thing is how some of the CPU's use more banned and limited cards you're allowed to use, but it provides a fun challenge. You are allowed to have 1 banned card in your deck, side deck,or extra deck. A really cool thing is that when you go to the shop, later in the game, it reveals 2 Hidden Arsenal packs that were not made in 2008(the year the game was created)! Overall, its a really fun game and you can play around the world to(if your connected to the Nintendo WFC).P.S: The attack animations and summoning animations are really cool.

Great game!
People who don't know how to play Yu-Gi-Oh may be confused at first, but the game is simple and easy to understand. It tends to repeat itself a little bit although the battles are always randomized.
