6M Cable Float Switch Water Level Controller for Sump Pump, Water Tank

Bought this to use as an up-on-switch for a water tank. Works great.

I was getting sick of my father in law flooding the driveway filling his water tank for the sprayer, this was the best purchase ever! It took so long for the well to fill up a 2500 gallon tank that it would often get forgotten, sometimes over night, this saves money and prevents a lake in the driveway what more could you want.

I just got my 2nd float switch after my 1st one failed after 4 yrs use. I tested my 2nd one prior Installation, at some angles the ball moves but not resulting in conducting. Tested more than 20 times, failed once. Probably not for critical applications.

I used this to replace the float switch for my septic system. The specs indicated it was rated for 15 amps, which I needed to match the capacity of my pump. I was suspicious that it would work when i received it, as the wire gauge appeared too small. Sure enough, after ~ a month in operation, the switch failed and had to be replaced. In fact, the wiring fried at the junction box.

I used it to control my well pump for the filling of our 500 Gallon water tank. I cannot say how long it will last, but it should do well ... if there is no problem with the "switching mechanism over time. :-)

I like the face that it will work as a switch on low level, or switch on high level.
