Fabulous narrative on molecular biology
Albert Einstein said that relativity was simple, but not that simple.Ernest Hemingway said the hardest thing about writing was what to leave out. Both these thoughts are pertinent to David Clark, Nanette Pazdernik, and Michele McGehee's Molecular Biology published in 2019.At 969 pages it may seem formidable to read, but the text includes many full page illustrations that would be left out in a shorter text.It is an advanced introduction to molecular biology and magnificently done.It is a passionate teaching text that explains all concepts and experiments very clearly and logically.Unlike such multi-authored texts such as Molecular Cell Biology or Molecular Biology of the Cell, it is an easy read and beautifully illustrated experiments are described.I would recommend this textbook to armchair biology afficienados like myself who have not been in a laboratory for over 50 years. The beauty of creations is well documented here.Buy the hard cover textbook for long term use.I read this text in 2018 and am rereading it in 2022 and learning just as much. This is a foundational book in the field for those who do not spend their lives in the laboratory, and maybe even for the scientists who do the work documented here, but that is over my head.Thomas Weisman MDTucson, Arizona

It appears easy to read
It appears to read easy at least from sample trying to decide whether to order it. Or is another author is better any opinions

How could these reviews from 2011 be for this book when the book just came out in Dec. 2018?
I don't get these Amazon reviews from more than 2 years ago when this book just came out in Dec. 2018?? Does Amazon have a glitch? This is a great follow up from the textbook these authors wrote back in 2012 (2nd Ed.). I love this author's books! I have three of his molecular biology books, and I consider them the "Goldy Locks" molecular biology books: not too easy and not too hard, and just the right amount of information. There are lots of pictures, with vibrant colors. All the information is well explained. From the 2nd Ed to the this 3rd Ed he added more about RNA i, CRISPR, epigenetics and a few other topics. It was worth the upgrade! It's not easy to explain Molecular Biology, and break it down for new learners, but this author does a great job! So glad I have his books!

Very good.
It was very fast and arrived earlier than expected. The book is in very good condition, so good that it doesn't look like a second-hand book. The price is cheap, I like it very much.
