I was expecting something flimsier because some other reviews suggest that it’s of lower quality for the price. I disagree and am very satisfied with it. Maybe they improved them over time, because they have an expected weight and build quality. Really nice.

Just what I needed for a beautiful watercolor painting done by a dear 98 year old friend. The frame was a perfect fit. Love that it is lightweight and so easy to hang. Much prefer the acrylic sheet instead of glass. Some reviewers complained that the acrylic sheet wasn't clear or had imperfections--must not have peeled off the protective layers on both sides. One review said the wood frame cracked when they screwed in wire holder--must not have drilled a guide hole first. One review said the saw tooth hanger is preferred but artists and galleries never use those. Wonderful that it came with everything included. It was delivered quickly and packaged carefully. So glad I ordered this.

It's a good-looking frame; lightweight & easy to put together. Also, the shipping packaging was super secure. However, I was surprised & a little disappointed that the backing was simple cardboard. For the cost, I expected a higher quality backing. I'm not sure it's worth $50+ (with tax), IMO. I'd look around more for a better deal before buying this again if I was getting another, similar frame.

For the price, it’s great. You get what you paid for. Definitely cheaper quality but it looks great on the wall.

I'm genuinely torn on this. The frame itself looks nice, and it was available in the odd size I needed, but the materials feel like a frame half its price. "Solid poplar wood" is a very generous description for these, they feel like balsa wood. Mine came with a split in the back from assembly, and I filled it in with glue to ensure it doesn't get worse. Additionally, the hardware that came with it was comically mismatched. The screws to attach the hanger are so thick, they look like they would split the frame again. I'll use some smaller ones of my own and cross my fingers.Overall I'm left wishing I had gotten a quote from a studio or hobby lobby. I think I would have been willing to spend a little more for finishes like real glass and readily installed hanging hardware since I was already at the $40 mark with this. I may end up taking the frame in to have actual glass installed, and pray it can handle the weight.

I came across the Craig Frames on amazon from a search for a gold frame, 16" sq. I was so impressed with the quality for that one item, that I have since bought all my frames from this brand on amazon. I think this is my 6th one. The quality is really good and the packaging is out of this world! Nothing ever arrives damaged. I'm always so impressed! I have ordered some bigger frames and i'll say - just so you're prepared - they have a carboard back and an acrylic clear front instead of glass. I believe that is notated in the product description for the larger sizes, but I had missed it when I ordered a large frame. it was a surprise, but they do it to keep the frame from being quite so heavy, and honestly you don't notice it at all. The acrylic is good quality (unlike some cheap ones i've gotten from craft stores over the years) and it looks just like glass once your photo is on the wall. just something to be ready for when you unbox the larger frames, but it's really a positive in my opinion!

It comes with small screws and a metal hanging but the screws are too long and will ruin the matting! Very unhappy as I am also 10 days outside return window when I now needed to hang it and it’s ruined and not returnable. Bad quality for an expensive frame!! Cheap cardboard backing!!

Not glass but can’t tell. Definitely recommend !!!
