Sharp QS-2130 Twin Powered Display 12 Digit

I've been a CPA since 1982. I've purchased three of these calculators for me and my employees over the last 10 years or so. Really love it. Has full size entry pad full function 10key. Normal 10 Key data entry function. Key's are well placed and the touch is very nice. Very easy to enter long runs of numbers for addition/subtraction. Solar cell functions very well even in lower light conditions. Even with full size key pad it is very slim and compact. Perfect 10-key type calculator for someone who runs lots of numbers but doesn't feel the need to see spools of adding machine tape run of your desk. I'm about ready to buy another one.

This is my second QS-2130. The first one lasted me about 15 years before I dropped it and broke the screen. For people who know a 10-key by touch this calculator is great because it the keys are large enough so you don't have to look at your hands. Also, it is portable, never needs a battery change and calculates the way you think. I am an accountant and use this calculator constantly for those quick problems that would take too long to do on a computer.

I've used this brand and make for over 20 years. My first one still works fine. It holds a charge off any light and is a lightweight easy solution for an accountant on the go.

One of the best portable 10-Key calculators around! This is the 3rd one I've purchased. My first one is almost 20 years old and still working beautifully. The other two I purchased were as gifts, and I know I can count on them working for a long time. Unlike regular calculators, this one is perfect for those that use a 10-key by touch. I use it when I am out at client offices. Super fast! I highly recommend.

Product looked a bit old and beat up. It’s a good calc.

Worst thing I ever purchased, and I was dumb enough to buy two. According to this calculator 8 bottles of 16.9 ounce water equals 1 gallon (128 ounces). Divide 128 by 16.9 this calculator says 8. Multiply 16.9 by 8 and it says 128. Why? Because there is a rounding function that I was not aware of. It seems that one has to be incredibly lazy to need a rounding function. Simple subtraction is also tricky as it does not do things as a cheap calculator does. Yeah, it adds and subtracts as an adding machine does, but unless you spend all day crunching numbers, it is a poor choice for your average user. Yeah. I know. Don't curse the tool if you don't know how to use it. However my daughter, who does payroll for 32 Aldi stores, took fifteen minutes to figure out why this thing does what it does. I have an old Sharp EL 8301 that is excellent. Unless one has a need for a calculator that requires a learning curve to operate, save your money.

no adding machine tape

I am a CPA that uses my calculator every day. I had another one for over 20 years until it went last year. I looked everywhere and finally found this one. What I like most is that it has adding machine logic. That means it works like an adding machine not a typical calculator. If you have to add many numbers, some positive and some negative, you can enter them and hit the sign after the number. In a calculator you have to know the sign before you enter the number. The big keys and large type face are plusses too. I hope to use this one till I retire (not joking).

It's so hard to find a calculator that adds like a bulky desktop adding machine. I am really getting my use out of this!
