First, I had to wait much longer than the Prime delivery that I've been spoiled with and pay 1/2 the price of the product for shipping, but I accepted that because supplies are scarce now. Second, I ordered tan and got blue. I overlooked that because I bought it to use for making masks for our healthcare workers so color was an issue of aesthetics versus utility. Third it has a very strong chemical smell. I tried to wash out the chemical smell. It didn't work. I won't be able to use this for anything now, and I spent $15.00 on it.UPDATED: In fairness, I decided to increase the rating by 1. As I was picking up odd bits of paper here and there around the house, I found the receipt for this purchase. When I unfolded it, I did find a note tucked inside regarding the substitution of color due to the high demand for the product. I must give them credit for that.

I am Definitely not in the mood to write a review, so I will be quick. Please look at my pics, a pic is worth a thousand words! This product is worthless. When you say elastic cord in your product description it means that the cord can be stretched but it will go back to original size! Well this product doesn't do that at all. You can stretch it but it never goes back to its original Shape/Size. As I said, not in the mood to write. I am just WARNING EVERYONE NOT TO BUY THEIR B.. S... PRODUCT. IT IS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU IF U WANT TO THROW $12 DOWN THE DRAIN... I HOPE U ALL HEED THIS WARNING

A friend gave me a roll of white Manadala 2 mm cord and it worked great. It had the right amount of thickness and had good stretch. So I decided to order the same product in black. I've had the roll for maybe 2 or 3 months now and I am finding the elastic in the black roll has degenerated. It lost its stretch. When you pull on the cord, it becomes almost like a string or thread--it doesn't bounce back. It seems the quality of the cords are not consistent across colors.

I purchased this elastic for travelers notebooks. It's a bit thinner than what was on the Chic Sparrow so I'm kind of bummed. I'll need to find another one to order and see how that goes. I'll use this for now but will be replacing it when I find the perfect thickness.

6/6 add on. Just received my second order of this elastic and in just two days! It is my favorite for masks, easy to sew over...I’ve had corded elastic that was not as soft and stretchy as this and really messed up my bobbin but not this. I’ve paid way more for just 10-20 yds of that kind of elastic so this is a great deal. I didn’t measure it bit it’s a hefty amount and I’ve just used the last of my first purchase from March tho it was not the only type elastic I used but it made a ton of the 500 masks I donated, phew! If I need more this is where I’ll get it for sure..Perfect for me to make masks for my local hospital right now...already made 62 and ran out... elastic getting hard to buy online. Took a week to get here, not too bad as usps shipping slower with all the online orders. Not a real tight elastic which is what you wAnt for them as they’ll be on longer periods of time so won’t cause headaches etc.

I made over 50 travelers notebooks for a craft fair in late 2020. Todays date it is one year later and I just pulled out the few that were remaining in storage. Yes, this was stored inside my home and not exposed to extreme temps. The elastic is completely shot on these notebooks. Now I have to redo the leftover ones. However, the worst part is knowing that all the ones I sold are now no good!! What a bad ding to my reputation!! I know I will see some of these customers again this year and will have to offer to replace the ones they purchased. NEVER buy this elastic!!

I bought this elastic to use as around-the-head fasteners for cloth face masks. It is perfect. 1 have used 1mm cord on children's masks, but it feels a little too fragile for adult masks. The 2mm size is just what I was hoping for. It is strong enough to hold the mask firmly, stretchy enough to slip over the head easily, and is easy to tie securely.I make pleated masks with side channels, running a continuous loop of elastic through both sides long enough to have two loops behind the head. Depending on head size, you need 28" - 32" for an adult mask. That means you can make 90-100 masks out of this reel, for a cost of about $.15/mask. That seems like a good deal to me.I do not like masks with short ear loops (they just slide off my ears) but I don't think this elastic would work as well for ear loops. It is a little rough, and possibly not stretchy enough. But it was just what I needed for my design, and it arrived promptly.

The cardboard spool got a bit dinged up around the edges, but that is the only real negative thing about this. The cord is very stretchy, and consistent size and coloring throughout. Looking forward to using this in my next craft projects!!
