Get some good neutral shoe wax, they stain easily
This is the second pair I have had and they have both been very comfortable and long lasting. I wear them every day. If a shoe lace breaks it is near impossible to replace as it runs all around the shoe and seems to be glued or stitched in place. One of mine is on its way to breaking and I am not sure how I will replace it.

Not a wide fitting
This is a great looking shoe. However, it was advertised as a wide fitting but as you can see from the photo the box says 11R. They are a bit tight but hopefully will give a bit once worn in. Apart from being a bit tight they are a comfortable, well made shoe.

Very comfortable
Yes a bit pricey but well worth the money! Very well made and very comfortable. My last pair last nearly 15 years and am sure this new pair will do the same . Delighted.

Stitching coming loose
After only a dozen days of wear these shoes started to separate the soles from the leather upper. No response from sebago for these problems on both shoes unfortunatelyVery disappointed

Not as good as they were.
I’d these years ago and wore them out so I eventually ordered a new pair 91/2 W. The W doesn’t seem to exist any more as others have said so what’s the point advertising it? I’m wearing them as I write this in the hope that they’ll stretch a little before summer, otherwise I’ll be returning them. Sad.

Nice shoes but not wide as advertised
I ordered a UK 12.5 wide and recieved a 12.5 regular. I have sent them back. The label on my old ones said 12.5W but these say 12.5 R. Looking at other reviews it seems Sebago no longer offer a wide fitting. However these were listed as wide fitting. It is a shame as these would have been my 5th pair in over a decade.

Ordered wide but received regular
It appears that Sebago no longer do the wide fitting size. They appear to have made the regular size a little wider but if you need the wide fit you will be disappointed. I am trying with these to see if they break in but as the sole itself is narrower than the the old wide fit I don’t hold up much hope.☹️

A wretched decline in standards
I originally bought a pair of Sebago Clovehitch (size 10.5 wide) deck shoes 7 years ago from a retailer in Cork, Ireland. While expensive, they were simply superb, comfortable hard-wearing and waterproof. After seven years of use and abuse they started leaking a little so I naturally went back to the same retailer (a chandlery) to get a new pair but they had ceased selling clothing and footwear so I went online at the Amazon website and bought exactly the same shoes - Sebago Clovehitch 10.5Wide.The pair that arrived in the post were 10.5 normal width but perhaps I accidentally clicked on the wrong selection window and they did stretch to fit after a few days of tightness. I noticed the shoelaces were shorter and of lesser quality on the new shoes as compared with the old. Also after just a few days the "Sebago" logo on the insoles had rubbed off - odd. However just this weekend past - after about six weeks of wearing them- I happened to be caught out in rain and my feet and socks were immediately soaked as water was admitted by the shoes through the stitching, the possibly inferior leather, and also via the "cloth" or woven side panels. I am at something of a loss to explain how a reputable company like Sebago could have permitted such a decline in standards in such a previously excellent shoe - what a pity. I am now beyond the window at which I can return the items -according to the Amazon website.
