One arm did not screw in correctly

I do not even use it anymore. I found out just hooking the weather radio to the TV antenna via a splitter works much better in giving a good clear reception.

Generally a little pricy, but if you can find in on sale, it is a great antenna.For most people who need something better than the antenna that comes with the weather radio & are not a long way away from a NOAA station, all they need is to take any pair of rabbit ears where the two separate antennas can be pointed in completely opposite directions (180°). Extend each element out 19 inches (19 inches is 1/4 wave of weather radio's broadcast frequency of 162 MHz). NOAA broadcast antennas are oriented vertically, so for best reception have one element pointing straight up in the air & the other straight down to the ground. You now have yourself an indoor vertical 1/2 wave antenna tuned to 162 MHz, excellent for weather radio. The best reception often will be close to a window in the direction of the NOAA broadcast tower.For those who are on the fringes of a NOAA station's broadcast area, if you have an outdoor VHF TV antenna pointed in the same direction, that highly directional TV antenna will give more gain than any omnidirectional antenna like this one.Often there are better cheaper options, but for some situations this is a very good choice.
