[DIYE] Y Carriage Plate Upgrade for Maker Select and Wanhao Duplicatior i3 3D Printers - Updated

As a few others have pointed out, apparently it doesn't work for all Prusa i3, namely the track width between the two 8mm y-track rods are different as you can see from the photos posted. My Sunhokey Prusa i3 (acrylic) has a wider y-track. Luckily I've been designing/printing my own open-type linear bushings to reduce vibrations in the 8mm rods so I simply had to offset my design a bit. I also considered just drilling my own holes but unfortunately I don't have metric drill bits and the closest sized imperial unit drill bit is broken, next one up is too big and the next one down is too small. The redesigned linear bushings work well so this saved me an Amazon return.

I have these on all 4 of my Monoprice maker select plus machines. They are one of the harder upgrades to do for this machine but worth it. My prints are coming out much nicer now. Z brace mod is next!

My stock carriage on my Monoprice Maker Select Plus (a Wanhao i3 Plus clone) was starting to warp thanks to some mods necessitating a tighter spring-that led to jerking and shaking on the Y-axis. After a ton of research, I finally figured out a sturdier carriage was necessary. What a difference this DIYE one made! It's significantly thicker, for one thing, but only seems to weigh slightly more. My stepper motor had no difficulty moving this carriage and my modified build plate with glass bed. The holes all lined up perfectly, and already I can see a big difference in stability. If I had known, I would have upgraded to this as soon as I got my printer! I highly recommend the new carriage.

This thing is great. I have ordered 1 other replacement for this that came slightly more warped than the original (hard to believe I know). This went on without a hitch, lines up great and is flush and level. my monoprice maker select v2 is back up and running. You legit unscrew the 4 posts, unscrew all the screws you see, pick up the old plate, set down the new plate and screw it all back together. that easy. Aces boys!

Sturdy, stiff and thick. Fits the prusa mk52 heated bed. I had to notch this to fit my printer, which you probably won't, since my printer a is totally custom mess, but this thing is stout enough that I am not worried about cutting it to fit my uses.

Great upgrade to the Monoprice Maker Select V2.Easy to install all bolt holes lined up perfectly and now that the bed can be leveled the machine is much quieter and prints are much improved. Took a chance as it was quite a bit less expensive than the competition but I dont honestly see where a competing product could excel above it for the purpose so marking this one down as a win.

Great upgrade to have. Mine came with a pretty big ding on the edge, but the item was still perfectly flat and works just fine.

Even though the description says this is for the i3, I can confirm it fits the i3 plus as well. Nicely cut, well made item.
