Great sensor but needs better instructions.
I purchased this device on November 7, 2024, and finally gathered the courage to install it. First, I’d like to mention that my old sensor, a Honeywell Model DT-720B, lasted an impressive 18 years. Recently, after reactivating the *Away* feature (when no one is home), we encountered an issue while on a trip. The alarm company unexpectedly called to inform me that the sensor had been triggered. I immediately turned on my cameras, but everything appeared fine. The alarm company explained that the alarm would keep ringing unless another motion was detected. Sure enough, it went off again, leaving us no choice but to instruct the company to tell the police to stand down. When we returned from vacation, a technician inspected the system but found no issues. However, he recommended replacing the sensor for around $100, including the new Bosch BDL2-WP12G TriTech Motion Detector Pet Immune device. He suggested that the Honeywell sensor was likely giving false alarms due to its age. At first, we decided against replacing it. But one day, while sitting in the backyard with my wife, I decided to test the system by arming the alarm in *Away* mode. Within five minutes, the alarm went off again, confirming the problem. That’s when I decided to purchase the Bosch sensor. Although it took me 30 days, I finally installed it. ### Installation Notes: For those considering an upgrade, this Bosch device is slightly smaller than the Honeywell DT-720B. I had to unscrew the old sensor and drill new holes for the Bosch device. It comes with a bubble level to help ensure proper alignment, but due to how my old sensor was mounted, leveling it perfectly wasn’t feasible. Instead, I aligned it as closely as possible to the old device’s position. **Wiring:** The wiring process was tricky, as I couldn’t find a clear comparison guide for older devices despite extensive online searches and watching YouTube videos. The Bosch sensor comes with six connections: 1. Negative (–) 2. Positive (+) 3. NC 4. NC 5. T 6. T In contrast, my old Honeywell DT-720B had only four connections: - **C**: Connected to the green wire - **NC**: Connected to the yellow wire - **V–**: Connected to the black wire - **V+**: Connected to the red wire Initially, I connected the Bosch’s Negative and Positive terminals without issue. However, I mistakenly wired one NC and one T connection for the other wires. While the sensor seemed to power on, it didn’t trigger the alarm when I walked around the house. After more research, I found another video explaining that both the green and yellow wires should be connected to the two NC terminals, as the T connections are primarily used for business applications. Once I rewired it correctly, the sensor worked perfectly. I tested it by walking around the house while the alarm was armed, and it immediately triggered the system, prompting a call from the alarm company. ### Performance: In the attached pictures, you can see my old and new wiring setups. That same day, we left the house with the *Away* mode armed. It worked flawlessly—even with the fan, TV, and my Roborock Q Revo Plus vacuum running in the same room as the sensor, it didn’t trigger false alarms. So far, I’m very pleased with this device. I hope it last a litte longer.

Perfect match for old Bosch Motion
I have some pretty old (26yrs) Bosch motion with a very old Honeywell Ademco Vista 20P/20PSIA Vista 15P/15PSIA. I wanted to add this one on and work like the others. It is a perfect fit and easy hook up 4 wires l ike the old ones. This one like my old ones are NC (Normally Closed). I then hooked up this panel to the Ring Retrofit Alarm Kit. Everything works perfectly. No false alarms. Nice blue light to indicate motion.

Excellent Coverage
This sensor really excels at covering motion from its entire as-advertised field, unlike the Honeywell sensor I installed last year. Installation could have gone better with proper written instructions, especially the wiring portion (thanks youtube). All in all, I am happy with this purchase & would recommend this to anyone. I ordered this item 4-5 times on separate occasions as I was upgrading my home security system. The last order was shipped from Fox Global Trading & I just wanted to give you a heads up that they substituted a different model sensor. The intended order was for Blue Line Gen 2 Pet Friendly TriTech Motion Detector (ISC-BDL2-WP12). The model they sent was Blue Line Get 2 TriTech (ISC-BDL2-W12G) which is probably cheaper because it's not pet friendly. I kept the product because I don't have pets, but those who do may be disappointed.

Great High Tech Detector
I wired my house with these in my third Alarm System Self install 2 Omni Pro's and 1 Omni IIe, I have to agree with one of the negative reviewers that this one is a bit harder to install everything has to fit tight especially the mounting screws. There is no wiggle room. One other negative is it doesn't have wide angle coverage. I have one in a long hallway and I shouldnt have put it on the long wall. It would work better looking down the hall. There are two power wires and two NC There is also a NC tamper that can be hardwired separately. I set my resistors in between as an EOL supervised zone. This is a compact and smart looking detector with dials on the inside to adjust sensitivities towards pets etc. It is also temperature compensated and nabs me when I approach doorways. I like the look of it and am convinced that there is a lot of thoughtful electronics inside that will spare me nuisance false alarms

Well made and engineered
I had to replace an existing Honeywell detector that was giving false alarms. I came across this one on my search and the specification looked better than the one I replaced. The design and engineering made it simple to install. The set up to adjust it is very straight forward, unlike some brand were you have move the internal board up or down.

Works great, even outside on a covered porch.
I installed one on each of my back porches (one covered and one screened). The screened porch one gets some sun in the afternoon but no issues so far. Very sensitive even outside (which may be outside the operating parameters I'm not sure). I'll be curious to see how long they last outdoors.

works fine
When I started getting false alarms, I thought my sensor had gone bad, and this was the exact replacement. It turned out that it was an installation issue (sensor pointing at a window, which caused issues when it was below 0 and the heat came on--the extreme temperature differential between the window and the heat duct in the floor was setting it off. Had to give up and have the alarm tech come out...and he just blinded the center with some electrical tape inside so it isn't looking directly at the window. Still works on either side of the window. Between the cost of this from Amazon and the cost of the tech, it was still slightly cheaper than what the alarm company charged me for the first one. And it seems to be a very capable sensor.
