Big Bug Hardcover – Picture Book, April 15, 2014

I initially found this book in the gift shop of Brookgreen Gardens and impulsively bought it for a young relative of mine. When I took the time to read it and realized what a lovely little gem it actually was, I had to order another from Amazon in order to give to another young relative of mine. It offers both a clever concept and compelling images that will probably enchant both young and old alike.

I love the comparisons between what’s large and small based on perspective and it’s adorable!

Depending upon how you look at things around you, size is relative. A tiny bug on a leaf starts the progression on size. What is large? What is small? Excellent book on the topics of size and perspective through distance. I recommend highly to parents and teachers.

The illustrations are beautiful, the lessons in perspective and distance are just there. It is my 1yo granddaughter's favorite book!
