Purrmaids #5: A Star Purr-formance

I'm pretty picky about books for my daughter because I want them to be age appropriate - that means my 5 year old (not in school yet) doesn't need to be reading about make-up, boys, friend drama, bullying, etc. These stories are great and my daughter is obsessed with them. She gets ready for bed nicely specifically so she can have a chapter of Purrmaids read to her. She asked Santa for the rest of the series for Christmas (along with the spin-off Mermicorn series and if he could come up with any Grrrmaid books she'd like those too). There is a little drama/problem in each story, and on occasion the friends have issues, but it's never because they're being catty (couldn't help it). There are mistakes and misunderstandings and feelings expressed and then apologies. Even the one that had me nervous - where there's a rival group of cat friends at school - turned out to be a misunderstanding and they became friends with very limited drama (though I didn't totally agree with how the mom cat handled the situation outside the museum). At any rate, we're on book 7 and I'm hoping Santa does bring the rest and the spin-off because these are a huge hit in our house. My only concern is what we read next when she's done with these!

My daughter (2nd grade) love the story and she was able to improve her reading since she wanted to know what will happen. it will not be a book for boy, but for a girl that ready around 50-70 word a minute it is good.

My daughter loves these books! I was excited to find them so cheap and available on prime. She’s 7 and loves to feel like a big girl reading chapter books even though they’re small chapters. Cute story lines, too!
