Working great for supplemental watering
I’ve been using this for about 6 weeks with an heart-leafed ice plant in a smallish pot on a shaded patio in Arizona. I used to have to hand water the plant every morning, but this globe supplies the plant water for about 4 days before needing a refill, and the plant has stayed in good health. I love that it has a larger capacity and a plug to prevent evaporation compared to some others I’ve found that have needed refills every other day in 100-110 degree dry weather. I’ll probably need two globes per pot for larger or thirstier plants, and even for small outdoor flowering plants this won’t quite work alone for a week-long vacation in a low desert summer (it likely will last that long between refills if in a cooler or more humid environment or used indoors), but it’s a great watering option to keep potted patio plants alive if away from home for only a few days, even in AZ at the most challenging time of year, so I will be investing in a few more.

Great product!
For many years, I used watering globes that had to be taken out of its holder and turned upside down to fill with water. This one fills from the top which is so much easier. My 5 ft. Scheffler plant did very well over my two-week vacation.

Nice. Looks good. Keeps watering well and longer. I have no complaints.

I like it for my moss pole
I decided to buy this to see if it's efficient in keeping my moss pole moist for longer periods without making it damp versus the added chore of rewatering my moss pole every time it gets dry. My moss pole right now is small (6") and I do not fill this product full of water. I feel that it's doing its thing without oversaturating my moss pole and it's a considerably easier way to water my moss pole instead of the standard bottle method which can be messy. Though, it feels a little overpriced to me, I am considering buying another one of these for another plant moss pole.

Picture comparison included
The best thing about this globe and stake set is the price is great and it will work nicely if handled delicately and placed in a planter on the ground. Please see picture comparison between this product and the small and large Plant Nanny. The negatives are - one out of 3 arrived broken, It's much more delicate, thinner glass than the plant nanny, the stake is extremely tiny which means if you have a large plant it won't reach as much roots, its top heavy, not much support. I believe it's not suited for hanging planters where it would easily fall over and hit someone in the head. It's also very hard to refill in a hanging planter. In a small floor planter it would be great. My Plant Nanny's are quite old. With a vinegar soak they would be sparkling white again.

I LOVE THESE!!!!
These are beautiful! A bit pricey, but well worth it!. After always having to unclog the bulbs and birds and other shapes that you stick into the soil—- These are great! They are beautifully and intelligently designed. Being able to open the top and pour the water in without removing the watering unit is brilliant! I have them all over the house!

Works Great
Arrived in a timely manner and exactly as described. It is glass and will break, if not treated correctly. The water flows great. I refill about every 4-5 days.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Did the product designers even test this product? We've used similar watering globes successfully for years. However, those globes had a few key differences The older design wasn't available on Amazon at the time we ordered this one - you live and learn. The key difference appears to be the "handy" glass opening at the top of the globe. Unlike other globes that only have one opening that you use to fill and then invert the globe when placing it in the pot, this one has an opening with a glass cover. The older style without this opening allowed for a pocket of air/the creation of a "vacuum" for lack of a better term which apparently slowed down the flow of water. This design provides no such resistance and the water simply pours out quickly in to the pot as gravity does its work causing massive overwatering/flooding of the overflow tray.Other similar watering globe models also kept things simple. The ceramic stake that the globe inverts inside had not rubber connector to keep the globe attached. This redesign may also be a point of failure as the water appears to leak out between the gasket and the ceramic stake. We ordered two of these globes: BOTH failed in the same manner resulting in MASSIVE overwatering while our older globes continue to function well. This product MAY be a solution for you if you have a LARGE plant. This is definitely NOT the answer for small to medium plants.Moral of the story: test products before shipping them.
