Gets the job done.
After researching for a good long while, weighing it up against its competitor I took the plunge with this. For me it’s perfect, not had any issues with cuts and it’s relatively easy to reach everywhere it should. I’d say its limitations are more dependant on its user and their flexibility. But you do quickly develop a technique. Just respect that you are using sharp blades and don’t rush. (Obviously).Changing the blades is extremely simple and more importantly cheap! Not had any cuts or tugging. it’s essentially a plastic stick. It does feel “cheap” but that’s better than something that costs the earth for exactly the same end result.I’m absolutely baffled how some people have managed to snap them in half!

Works brilliantly, but the quality doesn't reflect the price
Switched to this after using the overly expensive cartridge alternative (if you know, you know).Overall it fits the purpose very well (I use the "saucy" setting which they recommend for those with more experience) and is easy to reach round where it needs to go. Feels very comfortable on my back and easy to clean afterwards. The corners of the blades are covered by the orange comb bit which is nice. It also came with a pack of 5 blades (Would have been nice to have a pack containing an even number as it uses 2 at a time). Of course how well it actually cuts will be mainly down to the blades you decide to put in it. The way blades are inserted is easy to do and the ability to change how close it shaves is a nice feature. However, at the time of writing it's very overpriced (29.99) due to the quality of the handle. It's made of bendy plastic which can easily be twisted when using it and doesn't feel solid in the hand. For this price I would've liked a heavier handle and not the hollow one it currently has (see photos in other reviews to see what I mean). But at the end of the day all this is overshadowed by the joy of not having to pay 20 quid to replace the blades each time!Easy to use - 5*Easy to hold - 3*Value for money - 1*

Cheap plastic might break.
Easy to use product. Also it's good that you can use standard razor blades with it which makes it cheap to use compared to other similar products. It is a bit overpriced for what it is as made from cheap plastic which could easily break. Would be better if they made it out of metal.

No more mcgiolla gorilla
Love this product. I'm a big fan. It's simple and reaches places on your back that you can't.

Expensive but works
This shaver does the job of removing hair quite well but there is a bit of a learning curve needed get the best from it.There is an optimum angle to get the blade to shave and sometimes it is difficult to get the blade to that angle when reaching down or around to your own back. I don't understand how the 1 star reviews can say it doesn't remove hair at all unless they are just not finding that angle and laying the blade flat on their back. I love the fact it takes standard DE blades compared to some others that need special blades costing a fortune. The sales ad states it "tears down for easy travel" it doesn't it is one piece. Detachable shaving head is another misdirect the head comes apart for loading new blades but it does not detach from the handle. The sales page also states it doesn't come with blades due to Amazon's bladed product policy but mine did include blades. The handle is very flimsy feeling I think it would be difficult to break under normal shaving conditions but does feel weak and one reviewer has posted a pic of his broken handle but I don't how.As for whether it cuts you - I have used it twice and haven't been cut, I was being careful but am cut free but it is a razor at the end of the day so if you go in waving your arms about in all directions it will cut.I think for what it is this overpriced but needs must, it does work. Also agree with another review - I'm no prude but the whole 70's sexiest advertising thing is really cringe worthy.

Good buy
In the past I have used cream based products to help remove my back hair. So after much research online I opted for this product based on other user reviews. The product arrived on time and was well packaged and also had an unexpected bonus of a pack of 5 blades. As I had never used a back shaver before I took the shaver out of the packing and tried quite a few stroked without any blades in it just to try to get used to the feel and figure out what way of holding it would suit me. Once happy I put in two blades which was a very straight forward process. The blades have numbers printed on them 1-4 which will be useful when I come to swap them round.I decided to use the shaver on my back dry and initially tried a couple of long sweeping motions which did not really do anything. After a bit of experimentation, for me, it worked better with small blades motions repeated over the area of my back that I was shaving. The main thing was to take your time let the blades do the work and if needed apply gentle pressure. I would recommend you allow at least 20 to 30 minutes on your first use purely to allow you to get used to the product and the different angles you may need to hold it at i.e. under and over arm etc. You may also have to bend your back to offer a flat surface to the blades. I had access to a large mirror which I found useful to view my progress, but it can be a bit disorientating if you try to use a mirror to actually shave (your movements are reversed). What I did find useful was to actually listen to the blades and you can hear when the are cutting and they make no real noise once the area of your back has been shaved. All in all I was impressed with the shaver and hopefully the time spent will decrease as I get more confident. I should also say that as a complete novice I had no "nicks" at all so was really impressed and pleased with that.
