Is this made out of wood or plastic? Has anyone tried this with a cat?

This puzzle is made of very sturdy plastic. I have two dogs that love it. Haven't tried it with my cats. I would think the pegs would be too heavy for the cats, but the sliders work very smoothly...so why wouldn't they love it, too?? Will try my cats and get back, good idea!! This was a very good buy and worth the money for us. Will probably last for years. This company also has other puzzles designed for cats and dog puzzles with only slider-type features.

Does anyone know if this would be a good toy for a blind dog? I'm trying to find ways for him to entertain himself.

Dogs depend on their nose 1st, ears 2nd, then their sight. So any dog puzzles that uses treats should be as good for your baby as those with sight. All of these puzzles are meant for bonding with your dog though, all pet parents should be teaching their dog how, as well as the proper way & correcting bad behavior such as purposely knocking them over or chewing on them. With that said, as long you take the time to train your blind dog, I can't see any reason why a blind dog can't do anything that any other dog can do. It's not like with humans where when we go blind we obviously can't drive a car or fly an airplane but we can do almost everything else that people with sight can do. And dogs don't even depend on their site that much.

Absolutely. My cat has two different versions and adores them.
