File Box Folder Organizer with lid - Decorative Linen Hanging File Box with Handles - Letter/Legal Office File Storage Box - Document Storage (Without Folders)

These are essentially the same size as a cardboard bankers-type box; these linen ones are just a tiny bit longer in each direction to accommodate the width of the metal hangers on file folders. The removable metal rails fit down inside the box which is nicer than other brands of collapsible boxes where the file folder hangers actually rest on the top edge of the box. The metal rails will stay in place if you pinch them tighter on the box with pliers. The linen box looks nice, the seams and lining are well-sewn, and these will look much better in your home office than stacks of cardboard boxes.The lid fits snugly on the box and is super-sturdy feeling. The sturdiness of the lid adds a lot of stability to the sides of the box when you're carrying the box, because when you grip the box handles, your hand essentially is gripping the lid too. The bottom of the box is just canvas (this is what allows it to be collapsed for storage), but comes with a stiffer insert to place on the inside bottom of the box. If you're using hanging files that are resting on the metal rails, the sturdiness of the box bottom is irrelevant in carrying the box around, because nothing will be resting on the "floor" of the box. However, if you're using the box to store documents in redwelds, you might have an issue if you're planning on transporting the boxes around a lot-- I don't think these boxes would hold up to being moved around all the time (i.e., back and forth each day from home to car to office, etc.). If you need boxes for that kind of transportation, you should probably invest in plastic non-collapsible boxes. But if you're just using these boxes for your home office to store files that won't be moved around or transported very often, I think these are sturdy enough to withstand that kind of usage.Each of my collapsible boxes came with two short and two long metal rails to accommodate using the box for either letter-sized or legal-sized hanging folders. Because of the stability that the lid provides to the sides of the box, I'm comfortable with stacking full boxes at least two-high on top of each other and they'd probable be okay three-high. I'm happy with this purchase.

I was really happy with the two file organizers I received. Super easy to put together - just popped up and the lid is perfect. Very nice quality materials were used. No weird smells (or any smells at all) like we've all experienced with internet orders. Nice texture and the boxes look nice enough to leave out in the open in my office - very professional - and have nice touches like a box area to label on both the short and long edges of the box and nice metal edged holes to carry. I have letter sized hanging files and file folders and they both fit perfectly. The organizers came with both legal and letter sized rods and fit easily in the box. I loaded it up with files and it was sturdy and had no problem with the weight. I would highly recommend.

This Sustainable Storage Solutions file box was exactly what I wanted. It is very sturdy and included a sturdy bottom insert. The rails seem strong enough but I hope the welds hold on the little clip ends. Since there are 2 sets of rails, 1 set for letter, one for legal - I was able to use the legal rails just to give a little more support to the box (didnt really need it though)The lid is super sturdy and if were just a tiny bit larger around, it would have easily fit over the files. As it is, however with the rail clips adding thickness at the corners, it just won’t go over the box. It will fit easily without the rails. I just used it as a base, lifting it up for better viewing, and all is well. The fabric is good quality and well constructed. Overall, I am pleased and I would order it again.

I ordered a file storage box and received a lid, no box!The lid looked very nice, too bad the box was not included!Hopefully the return service goes smoothly and I receive the complete product next time.Follow up!! I received a new one in 2 days! I love it. It is more sturdy than I expected and I love the exterior material The lid has a nice quality material inside. I did not order to hang filea but to store things to keep my desk neat. It is a great size and holds all my things with extra room. I probably won't order again, because it is all I need. I would recommend because it helps to organize and looks great!

Very sturdy. I am a teacher working from home without a home office. I keep my laptop, document camera, several files, a graphing calculator, plan book and grade book in it to carry back and forth to the dining room table. It’s holding up well and feels secure. Putting it together was easy except the metal guides to hold file folders. I needed pliers to bend them into place or they would fall right off. I took off a star for that since they could easily fix that.It comes with the metal guides in two lengths so you can use either legal or letter size files. The lid is super strong. It also looks nice so when this horrible work from home because of COVID is over, I will repurpose it.

The box came collapsed and in the lid. It was a very straight forward setup and everything feels nice and sturdy. The handles have protectors on them and the lid is weighted so it stays on. The metal bars are a really nice touch. I have had quite a few struggles with hanging folders in boxes because the metal ends just ruin the edge of the box. Not a problem with this product, plus the folders swing freely. As a small touch, I also appreciate that there are clear spots for a label on both the short end and the long side of the box so it doesn't matter how I put it on the shelf, I can still see it.
