Cute, but not loud enough.
We bought this idog because the original one was sold out. I was disappointed that this one doesn't move around like the original idog. It probably said that in the description and I just missed it, so my bad. The other thing about it is that the speakers really aren't very loud. You control the volume through the external source (we use an ipod shuffle). Even at the shuffle's loudest the speakers really aren't very loud. The idog is very plush and cute and my 6 year old daughter loves it despite some of my negative feedback.

Purchased as a gift
Purchased this as a gift for a 16 year old girl. She uses it constantly when not using her ear buds. Very Happy with it.

No Volume for Ipod Shuffle
We got this for our 7 year old so she could listen to her Ipod shuffle while playing in her room. Her older sister has a normal docking station and so we thought this we be cute for her. She really liked it when she got it, but after plugging it in to the ipod shuffle, you can BARELY hear the music. You would have to be snuggling with it right up to your ear to hear it. The volume is controlled by the Ipod shuffle, so there isn't much we can do. So we will return it and get her something with some volume.

Can hardly hear it
This little guy is adorable and my 6 year old daughter loves it despite the fact she can hardly hear it. Really the only use I can think for the iDog would be if your child needs music to fall asleep or to relax. It would be perfect to cuddle up with in a very quiet room. However, our intent was to enable her to share her iPod's music with her brother and sister while they played together. There is no way this is possible even with very minimum noise from their normal play. So it is very cute, would be great for naps or falling asleep but completely useless in a typical daytime environment.
