Worked Perfectly
I am so glad I found these. When I first got my PS4, the right trigger broke within the first couple of days. I had to send the entire PS4 back because the controller broke and it could not be replaced on it's own. Recently I had another right trigger break but this time it was out of warranty and I decided to see if I could find a replacement trigger instead of replacing the whole (not-so-cheap) controller. I ended up finding this pack of triggers and springs for only $6.99 and decided to give them a shot. I read some reviews that claim that they did not fit properly but the majority seemed to say they worked perfectly. I will say that I have never taken apart a controller before so was a little nervous, but after getting the controller apart, replacing the trigger was extremely simple. The trigger fits perfectly, and once it is aligned properly goes right in. This is such a cheap way to fix this COMMON problem and I love that I have spares for when this inevitably happens again. If you have a broken trigger, and you are out of warranty, this is a must buy.

Fantastic replacements for the stock triggers
Had the common broken trigger post for my R2 trigger and bought these. I was prepared to possibly have to do a bit of shaving or sanding on the replacement parts from some of the reviews I read, but these things were perfect. No excess plastic bits really sticking out at all, no modification needed. Just opened the controller, swapped both the L2 and R2 triggers just in case, and replaced the springs. Done in less than 10 minutes and they work absolutely fantastic. The only real differences I could tell was the texture on the button was a bit less "gritty" than the stock PS4 texture. The font on the button was a bit off too, but this is all cosmetic stuff that isn't going to effect the controller operation in any way. And you get 5 sets of replacements just in case it ever happens again, which is great.Really not sure what some of the reviews saying you had to mod these were about, I had no issues at all and saved myself from buying a new $60 ps4 controller for the $6 or whatever these cost. Pick them up if you have the broken trigger posts, they are fantastic replacements.

but otherwise this is a totally safe and easy process. I have no regrets
NOTE: I want to say this first in case it matters to you: opening your controller up will void its warranty. Be warned, but otherwise this is a totally safe and easy process. I have no regrets.| WHAT KIND OF PERSON NEEDS THESE?I've had my PS4 since launch, but it wasn't until about 6 months ago that I started to play it heavily. I played Battlefield 4 and Killzone: Shadow Fall here and there, beat Murdered: Soul Suspect & Tomb Raider, and played a couple of the smaller digital games like Resogun and Sportsfriends. But it wasn't until the release of Destiny that my R2 trigger took the beating of a lifetime. Starting in September with its release I was playing constantly and put in something like 300-400 hours between release and my purchase of these replacements in early February. This was a launch day controller that I probably used more short amount of time than any Xbox 360 controller I ever had - and I played a lot of games on the 360 back in the day.| WHAT'S THE DEAL AND HOW DO I DO IT?You're probably here for the same reason I was - I looked up the issue and watched a YouTube video or two about how to replace the triggers and springs. It's actually the plastic hinge that snaps most of the time and causes the issue of the trigger not bouncing back when pressed. So I said to myself, "Self, I can fix this trigger." Then I ordered up these replacements and threw it in when, wow, it works. It felt just like the launch day trigger again.| THE TRIGGER CHRONICLES: SOFT TOUCHIt's easy enough to fix. I recommend finding a good video on YouTube and actually watching it once without touching the controller at all, then going back to follow along once you've seen it. It's basically taking the shell apart, unhooking a cable, replacing the trigger, and putting the cable and shell back together afterward. The shell will make some uncomfortable snapping noises but if you take your time and kind of wiggle it around it will come free pretty easily. Also be careful of the tiny springs because they can jump out and be lost easily, just try to hang on to it or press it down while you pull the trigger out to keep it in place.| WARNING: THIS WILL VOID YOUR CONTROLLER'S WARRANTYThis is actually the part where you need to know that this will void your controller's warranty - the snapping is probably something literally breaking just a bit so Sony knows you opened it up. But otherwise it's totally safe to do as long as you do NOT care about your controller's warranty.| THE TRIGGER CHRONICLES: TWO TRIGGERS DOWNAnd after a hundred or so more hours of Destiny the trigger went out again. Not necessarily the fault of these replacements because I do believe they match or are at least similar in quality to the original. It's more that the original triggers kind of suck. That plastic hinge is weak and prone to breaking if you use the trigger a lot.| THE TRIGGER CHRONICLES: HOPE FOR THE FUTUREWell we can thank our lucky stars then, because it's a good thing these replacements are fairly cheap. I put in the second replacement a few weeks ago which means I've still got 3 more. If they keep lasting at this pace I'd be ok with that value to be honest, although I do wish Sony had some stronger hinges in the first place. If I end up needing a few more of these I'd order these again.
