Great value for good quality photo frame!
Picked this up because it was on sale and also the size ( I was looking to get a small 7" frame to fit on my shelves.) got to say I am not disappointed with my purchase!Out of the box it is easy to setup, though I was the kick stand could be adjustable, it still does sit at a good angle that the pictures can be visibly seen. Looking upon the photo frame at certain angle does affect the appearance and quality of the photo's so for the most part you do need to be looking at a somewhat straight forward view for optimal viewing and at a certain distance as well (I'd say within 2 ft for optimal viewing.) Again, for the cost of the product still worth it.Setting up the unit was really simple. I choose to use a 8GB USB 2.0 Dongle. Did not have to reformat the Dongle, left as is. Did not need to create any folders, just copied and placed the files on the Root Directory. Did not need to change the file format for the files (left them as JPEG.).As far for picture orientation goes I took a lot of my picture's in a Vertical shot (mostly selfies) so all I had to do was re-edit the photo to set them to Landscape. Depending on the device that you used to take the photo's you may loose quality in the editing process. Their maybe programs that you can use to recover the lost quality of the photo from the conversion to landscape setting but you'll need to research that yourself.Again, great value for a good quality photo frame!

Very cool
At first we planned to use ours for inspirational quotes and pictures in a slideshow on the wall in the office. But when we discovered some of the other things this frame can do, we plan to use it for looping videos on our table display in home stores.FILE FORMATS (the formats I've tried so far)Pictures: supports .jpg .png -- does not support .tifAudio: supports .mp3VIDEO: from the knowledgebase online, "supports AVI video files using the DivX codec and non-DRM-restricted DivX video files" they recommend downloading the free 'Freemake Video Converter' software to convert your videos to .AVI with the XVID codec. This converter is very easy to use and works (and hey, some converted .avi files end up being smaller than the original files, which never hurts). (Before finding this info I had found that it fully supported .AVI .mpg and .mpeg -- it didn't fully support .wmv .mp4 .mov .vob -- By fully support I mean, I used the USB cable to transfer the files from my pc to the frame's memory just fine. But when you open up the directory on the frame, some files would not appear on the list, some would appear on the list but when played would only show a few seconds of black screen. While the fully supported ones transferred, show on the list, and play normally. Also, I did have one or two .avi files that weren't fully supported, so I would stick to the DivX codec standard for determining if your videos will play.) The link for the helpdesk article and converter link--[...]Powering On and OffIt turns out that the frame has a flip power switch on the back, which can be set to On when you use the remote to turn it off. Set up like this (plugged in to AC power of course) using the calendar/time settings, you can schedule it to turn on and off for one set of times 'Disable, Once, Everyday, Weekdays, or Weekends'. (But you only get one option, ie it won't let you set one pair of times for weekdays and a different pair for weekends.) We thought this was a great feature, since before we were using a dvd player on our table in a store that shuts the power to the building off at night, which required us to visit the store and manually turn it on again every morning.QualityIt is true that our screen has some dark flecks of dirt (all under 2mm big) within the screen, in the middle of the viewing area. But at farther viewing distances you can't see it. As for the screen resolution, coming from someone who uses a 1280 x 1024 pc monitor, up close it's choppy looking. But it is the advertised 1024 x 768 and is fine at farther viewing distances.

Great product for the price
This is a gift for my mother who lives on the west coast and I am in Michigan. I unpacked it to test it and set it up for pictures. It was a very simple setup and went directly to the USB stick as soon as it was inserted. I initially had to turn it on after plugging the power supply in, but after that it started up as soon as it was plugged in, and started playing, which is one of the features I wanted as my mother is 80+ and is not that good at these things anymore.I am very pleased with this product, it performs as advertised. This product was advertised as having no remote or internal storage, which it actually has, so overall a better product than I expected.
