SyntraxMatrix 5, Milk Chocolate Powder, 5 Pounds

I have tried other powders and I am always left with unmixed powder floating around in my shake. This one mixes well and has a very good flavor. I have prepared it with water, milk and almond milk. Very good!

Syntrax has quickly become my favorite protein mix brand and their milk chocolate flavor is at the top of my list. Due to having diabetes, I needed a protein powder that had a bare minimum amount of carbs and sugar while still tasting palatable and being affordable. Syntrax Matrix definitely fits the bill.From strictly a price standpoint, it comes in at about $.63 per serving, which has 23g of high-quality whey protein. That's an excellent deal. I generally blend mine with a combo of ice and sugar-free soy milk, which seems to give a better texture and flavor than just using plain water. Per serving, it still comes out to well under $1 though, which is extremely favorable as compared to pre-mixed protein drinks and most protein powders.While there are quite a few mixes that have zero carbs these days, I haven't found many that I can stand to drink on a regular basis. At 3g of carbs per serving, I feel comfortable sacrificing the miniscule number of carbohydrates it has for how good it tastes. I definitely find myself drinking it more regularly than I did when I tried to stick to mixes with zero carbohydrates. The addition of 1g of fiber is also nice, as it seems most protein mixes lack any fiber at all. It helps to improve the consistency as well as offset the effects of the 3 whole grams of carbohydrates.The ziploc-type bag definitely takes up way less room than the huge, half-empty jars that most protein mixes come in and I have not had any problem resealing the bag over and over again. All in all, it is convenient, tastes good, has the quality ingredients I look for and is definitely affordable. Hard to go wrong with this brand.

The milk chocolate flavor is delicious and full of protein. The 5 lb bag has approximately 70+ servings. Very economical.

As someone who suffers from cold sores from time to time, I found that I was unable to take most protein supplements without triggering an outbreak. After doing some research I learned that this was because of the high arginine content in most protein powders, which is basically like fuel for a cold sore. I also learned that the amino acid lysine has the opposite effect, and so began my search to find a protein powder with a high lysine to arginine ratio. This was no easy task, as many protein powders don't actually list the amino acid breakdown on their label, but I finally found the Syntrax Matrix proteins which have 3x more lysine than arginine! Yay! I have been using this daily for about 6 months with no issues. Hopefully this helps someone else out there with the same problem!!For everyone else, this is still an awesome protein powder that mixes well and tastes much better than others I've tried. I use a blender bottle with almond milk and it mixes really well (sometimes I have a hard time getting powders to dissolve in almond milk). Sometimes I add a tablespoon of peanut butter for higher calorie days and it's delicious! Great value too, especially on Amazon. Will continue to buy for as long as it is available!!

I have food sensitivity to milk and wheat, however because the proteins in this are denatured I am tolerating them in this better than any other product out there, in small doses. I also have found that disolving 1/2 scoop in 4 oz water and then adding that to 12 oz of chocolate oat milk makes for a nice mix of both worlds (on it's own the product is pretty watery). Diluted with water and then oatmilk I am getting my fiber and CHO, but also getting my increased protein which is needed. I tried diluting it in only 8 oz chocolate oat milk but personally I am just really sensitive to sucralose/aspertame/stevia aftertastes so I needed to hide that flavor a bit. Will see when I get my Mint Cookie and PB Cookie if those hide the aspertame flavor a bit.

This is hands down the best whey protein powder for the money on Amazon and elsewhere. For the servings/protein and product weight, you're already paying ~$10+ less than a typical 5 lbs jug of protein powder. I expected the quality to be dimished, and the taste to be chalky and bland; however I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't have a 'rich' chocolately taste, but that is due to the 3g of carbs and minimal sugar (lack of Aspartame).One of the few powders I've successfully mixed with water, and had an excellent taste. I haven't tried it with milk, but the flavor profile could only get better. Mixes well without clumping. I'm able to drink this 5-6 times a day (2 servings in water) without difficulty. Fully recommend if you're doing any type of Keto (especially the Apex Predator Diet from chaosandpain). I can take 10 servings throughout the day while only taking in ~30g of carbs which is around where you want to be for ketosis.

I use shakes as meal replacements from time to time. I have tried several different manufacturers, I tried this type and have not had to shop around ever since. I love the milk chocolate and the peanut butter cookie. I've been using this product for years. It is really good. I have not tried all of the flavors, but the ones I tried have all been great. I usually stick with the basic chocolate or vanilla powder, because you can mix them with a bunch of other stuff. It's very satisfying, meaning if you are using it for a meal replacement, it works. Highly recommend this, you will love it.
