Eathtek Replacement Keyboard for HP Pavilion DV7-6B56NR DV7-6B55DX DV7-6C95DX A6X02UA DV7-6B57NR A1T84UA Series Black US Layout

I bought this keyboard to replace the old one on my laptop as it was quite old and too dirty to clean.Installing / replacing the old keyboard with this one was fairly easy as I was replacing other components as well. I like the keys and the feel of them. They're not too far apart, nor too close. They also don't have a long depress range. In all, the keyboard feels and sounds similar to the original.The only downfall is that they changed how some of the keys are arranged, like the enter key and the left shift key. The enter key now takes up two rows and is skinnier. I find myself often missing the enter key when typing because I'm not used to where the key is, nor the size of it. As for the left shift key, they made this smaller as well (about half the size). This is sometimes annoying as well because I don't look when I type. But other than that, I like the keyboard.

My keyboard suffused from an unintentional water bath. Geek squad couldn't repair, steered me to "the internet" for a replacement. BestBuy had a suitable replacement but Amazon had one as well at 1/2 the price. I would give the replacement 5 stars but my wife, who is an excellent typist, said the touch on the new keyboard is not as good as the HP board it replaced. I'm happy, but I am a 2 finger typist (seek & ye shall find). Took the laptop back to Best Buy, they installed in less that 10 minutes! What a satisfactory experience!

Perfect fit works great. Got instructions on youtube for swapout. this was the easiest laptop swapout I've ever done bar none.

First two didn't work maybe third time is a charm.

Easy to install and works properly.
