It worked on my 401 CJ5

Don’t waste your money
This spring is nothing like the original nor does it fit like a “direct” replacement should. Pictured on the right is the original spring and the left is the one I received.

But the bell housing is the same as the stock Jeep so this spring worked just fine.
Does the job its supposed to. I have an 82CJ7 with a Ford T18 mounted in it. But the bell housing is the same as the stock Jeep so this spring worked just fine.

Too small to even try to fit
This is not the right spring for the clutch fork on a cj7. Maybe if it was a toy...

Does not fit a T176 transmission
Although the "fit " tool suggests that this would fit my CJ7; it is too small and does not match the original design.
