this scratching post is great
At first my cat didn't understand what it was. I tried to put catnip on it, nothing. he didn't use it. but after a while... he discovered how to use it & it became his favorite scratching post! I have this and a cardboard one and he doesn't use the cardboard anymore since using the tree... what more - the tree looking so cute! sometime the upper leaves fall tho but it's very easy to put it back. some disadvantages - *when you take it out of the box it has a really strong smell of dust, and unpleasant one. I had to vaccum it & wait for the smell to go away because putting it in a room made the room hard to breathe in. but it passes after a week or two. *the tree always swinging when using it and it's not steady enough. but it doesn't look it bothers my cat too much, I think it's best to find a way to stick it to the floor somehow, I didn't found a way yet..

That my boys know that is their scratch pad
This product is adorable to look at and my (2) boys just love their new palm tree. My poor loving brother died on New Years Eve and he asked me to take care of his (2) cats. They are the best little boys in the world. I saw this and said I have to get this for the boys. I am so glad that company’s like you make such wonderful products for animals and for cats. I cannot say one bad thing about this product. Came sooner than anticipated, easy to put together and for all cats big and small.

Pretty cute but needs to be weighed down
This post is super cute. I love that it matches the tropical theme of my dining/living room. My gripe about comes in the fact that it’s really not sturdy. I have relatively small cats and they knock it over pretty easily, not that they care. Assuming the rest of it stays together well, I’ll probably buy new rope as necessary to rewrap it when the time comes because it’s cute The box mine came in was also absolutely DESTROYED. I don’t know if it was the post office’s doing or they mailed it like that, but it came with 6 rubber bands holding the entire box together. I’m lucky the little bag of screws didn’t fall out.

So Cute!
Just had to buy a coconut palm scratching post for our cat since we reside in Florida! This is a really cute piece. I actually thought it would be a bit goofy but not at all! It was super easy to assemble. However, we had one small glitch. The scratching post is in 2 sections that need to be joined. The part that you need to join them (double-end screw) was missing. There was a regular screw though - so we just took the hack saw and removed the head to access the threads from both ends. Problem solved, no big deal. Overall I'd call this a good choice!

Cute scratching post, needs modification
This is a cheap scratching post so you get what you pay for. I have a small cat, 7 lbs, and she doesn't give the scratching post an excessive amount of attention. After a month of light use the bottom of the post became wobbly and eventually the cardboard tube came undone from the plastic insert that attaches it to the carpeted base. We removed the staples, used drywall screws to attach the cardboard tube back onto the plastic insert, and then hot glued the twine back around the bottom of the tube covering the screw heads. We should have put something heavy in the base before reattaching because my small cat pulled the post down on top of herself. I now have it wedged into a corner so that it's more stable. Pros: Super cute palm tree design is aesthetically pleasing to owner The twine holds up well to scratching, doesn't unravel or shred Easy to assemble It's cheap Cons: Too light to be sturdy Flimsy staples holding cardboard tube onto insert It's cheap

Best thing EVER!! Luna's so HAPPY!
As you can see... Luna loves her new coconut tree!! This is her just moments after assembling (which was super easy I might add). Its been about 15 minutes now and she is still playing and loving life. I ordered thos less than 24 hours ago, very impressed. Thanks Luckitty for making me the best cat mom ever!

My cat loves it
My cat's claws were starting to get a tad too sharp so I started looking for a scratching post to buy for him (and my skin!) I took a chance on this one simply because it's cute then ended up being most impressed with its sturdiness. My cat, Henry, uses it several times a day and as you can see from the photo he's not gentle with it. Equally important, the tree was easy to assemble, looks aesthetically as advertised, and gets those claws under control!

Will tip over if you have anything bigger than a kitten!
Really like this, but we have to put a weight on the bottom to keep it from tipping over which isn’t ideal.
