If you have a young scientist in your family, this is the gift to get! I was impressed with the kit overall. For the enterprising scientist, you definitely need to invest in more slides, but the kit is certainly a great way to get your kids into a great starter microscope for the cost. The lenses are great and the microscope itself is sleek and made of solid material.

This was cute and my kids loved it. It's kind of blurry even when you adjust it but good enough for play. I would get it for fun but not for like a homeschool lesson or anything. I like the empty slides because we can put other stuff on there to see it. We did a hair, plaque from a tooth, a wing of a dead fly, some dead skin and skin from garlic and onion. Gross but fascinating lol. It comes with lots of accessories! We did not attempt to grow the sea monkies or whatever those eggs were, so I can't comment on those.

My granddaughter requested a microscope for Christmas and I ordered this one. She seemed pleased and was happy with the set. It’s a good size, sturdy but nice weight with a great design and its illumination brings organisms into focus

This was sent quickly after ordering. IMicroscope is very light and seems to be made of a plastic type material. It came with a lot of accessories such as knife-blade for dissecting (caution with kids it is sharp), premade slides, some blank slides and cover slips. The microscope functions work fine for kids just playing around with it. It is smaller than expected. The slides almost seem like they are created with a photo of what they are on the slide (almost like what you would think you are looking at under microscope but printed on a transparent paper then added to slide). Perhaps the microscope I had as a teen was a higher quality and. Or China made. This just didn’t hold up to my expectations. It does seem clear when looking at things under microscope. The price was overpriced for what item was. I just can’t justify the high price for a mediocre very entry level microscope for a child/teen.

My daughter needed this for her science homeschool. She absolutely loves it. I'm excited to see what lessons she will use this for.

My daughter is enamored with this. Made well enough that she uses it regularly and hasn't broken, all parts work, she has an easy time inserting slides and adjusting the magnification, and focusing on different specimens. It comes with a case to keep it in and a few pre-made slides as well as the ability to make your own. I would recommend this to everyone for their curious child.
