Califone CAS1500 Cassette Player/Recorder, Built-in Microphone, AC/DC Power, 1/4" Headphone Jack

The recording is very good and the play back sound is very good. Also, and I like the counter. I purchased a cheaper brandand ended up giving it away. This is my second purchase of this tape recorder.

I understand why this is no longer available on Amazon. It is totally worthless. Play back has a constant static buzz and I can bearly hear the recorded song. Completely my fault for not testing in my alloted time. I won't make that mistake again!

These cassette players used to last for years in a classroom! This one only lasted a couple of months. 😣

This is a very fine portable cassette recorder / player. I am amazed you can still buy these new. Worth a look.

I used this for a classroom listening center. It did not have the proper "hole" for the thin plug ins that are now on earphones and ear buds. It only had a wider hole. Luckily I had a converter and a box that I could use to get it to work.

Prolly worth spending a bit more $ for a better quality one. The sound quality is barely acceptable. I retd it and got another of the same... also awful sound quality.

It's a challenge to get a tape recorder at all, let alone one with a power cord. My other ones ruined tapes that I've loved for years. Well worth paying more for this.

Bought this as gift for my father, it plays 2x fast and external microphone does not work for it. I took the time to try and fix it, ended up sticking the pause button in the processs, tried opening it which i found the button mechanism is being held together but flimsy plastic piece and glue. product is trash, just buy a japan cassette player on ebay. I trashed and threw this thing out after reading reviews on returning it.
