Great floor cleaner
I have used literally every kind of floor cleaner on my engineered hardwood floors. Steam mops will warp and fade wood, regular mops with oil soap attract more dirt, swiffer is good for in between a cleaning and even had a Hoover floor scrubber, scooba and mint cleaner too!Hoover floor scrubber was great but the company does not make lasting products as they used to in the distant past. I have found that there products have about a year life and then time to replace. (I had the floor scrubber, Linx stick vacuum, Proheat carpet cleaner and all lasted a year then they no longer work the same. I am meticulous in my care and cleaning of the machines too. Hoover just does not make a long lasting product. The Scooba floor cleaner made a snail trail and went in circles. Waste of money.Mint floor cleaner was good. It was the original one and it lasted a few years and recently died. Good cleaner to sweep but not really get floors clean, it was a lightweight cleaner that floated across my floors so for a mess on the floor you would still need a mop.The Bissell Flip it has been great so far! It is lightweight but it cleans my floors wonderfully. I make a few extra passes so it vacuums and squeegies the water all up and leaves my floors dry. I found that if you do not empty the dirty cup when it is close to fill, that is when it will spit water out (as other reviews says it leaks water)It is a smaller fill tank on both the clean water and solution and the dirty water tank but being the cleaner is so compact and light in size, I do not mind emptying as I clean and usually it is for every room. Fine with me when the results are floors that look beautiful and feel sanitary clean on barefeet!!! (Nothing worse that having your shoes off and walk on a dirty floor that makes your white socks dirty or your bare feet dirty)I have only used the cleaner with the scrub brush attachment and have not tried the micrfiber cleaning pad as I just use a swiffer for in between sweep cleans.I do like that if my stick vacuum or my swiffer missed some dust/ dirt on the floor I can flip this unit to vacuum side and turn right around to wetmop! Genius!!So I am happy to have a compact unit that doesn't make my back ache after pushing around the floor to clean, fits well in my kitchen closet and is easy to clean after use.

I have approximately 2900sf of ceramic floor tile and 1000 sf of wood flooring (not a stitch of carpet). I have 3 dogs, 1 cat and a rather sloppy husband. For the last 2 years I have been using my Hoover MaxxExtract 77 (very large, heavy and does not do close to walls) I purchased the Bissell Flip-!t, thinking I would just use it for quick clean ups. I cannot rave about this product enough! It cleans my floors quicker, easier and better then the big Hoover. When using the Hoover, I had to use a Swifter to clean close to the walls and then use it again to remove the "streaks" left by the Hoover. When finished I would see that the swifter had picked up dirt the Hoover missed :-( However, when I tried using the Swifter after using the Bissell, the Swifter was completely clean! :-) Thus saving me a huge step. AND the Bissell has an excellent side cleaning capability which will clean right up against the walls and under most furniture. As for the poor reviews, I will tell you that the cleaning tank and holding tank must be fitted correctly. Slightly off and it will "spit" or not pick up. Putting the tanks in correctly is NOT difficult at all and the machine will tell you if one of them is slightly off.I now own TWO, one for my wood floor upstairs and one for my ceramic floors downstairs. As for the Hoover, I gave it away. I've only had this product for a couple of months, but will tell you, if it blows up tomorrow, I will buy another!

Bissell Flip-It Bare Floor Cleaner
I like this machine, although its not very heavy duty and you have to do a lot of physical scrubbing with the machine itself to get the floor clean. I do like not having to lug a mop bucket around and then find a place to empty it, after cleaning the floors with either the brush attachment or the easy clean soft head, you just empty the dirty water and you are done. I also love the fact that you can take the head off and wash and reuse. It's great!!! I'd say a good buy for the money, don't do much with the vacuum side, Im not really sure the purpose for that, but I don't want to suck up stuff in the same side as my cleaning fluid. Does great for small jobs, but not recommended for large amount of flooring.

Bissell Flip - it Bare Floor Cleaner, 5200
This product did a better job on my floor then the mops I was using. I was having trouble getting my floors clean and leaving a shin due to the salt that was being dragged in from outside. What I did not like about it was that it is harder to use. I am in my 60's and it did wear me out after doing the large floor, plus I had to be very careful about how I did it so it would's leave steaks. Which a lot of the times it did.
