Carpet not hardwood floor sweeper
This device works fine for crumbs and little dry messes on carpet if you don't want to haul out the vacuum cleaner. However I was hoping it would also pick up stuff on hard floors, but it doesn't do very well there. It'll pick up if you move it pretty fast back and forth over the area, but to do the entire floor would cause you to work up quite a lather.I was really looking for something a little more environmentally friendly than the portable, cordless vacuums which you have to throw away after a year because the battery's shot. But this wasn't it, not for me anyway.

Awesome Little Sweeper
It's just the two of us, my wife and I, and sometimes we may have a few crumbs here or some sock lint there. Maybe a leaf or two got dragged in the house under foot, during the fall season. Too little a mess to haul out our Kirby Vacuum Cleaner, so, we pull this little guy out and he works perfectly every-time! Very small in size but built like they used make everything back in the day, like a tank!A no brainer if you ask me! You'll be completely satisfied! For the record, we purchased the Bissell Double Brush Premium unit first, and returned it. It worked okay but was of poor build quality. The Fuller Brush unit is much smaller and works like a champ! Worth the few bucks more for certain. Plus you can replace the roller-brush once it's to worn to be effective. The Bissell units are "throw-away's I believe. So, what are you waiting for??? Go Buy It. Go Now!

Made in China.. Sending it back!
I purchased this sweeper in an attempt to become more environmentally friendly. After reading the About Us page at the manufacturer's website, I was under the false impression that these sweepers were made and shipped from within the USA. My sweeper was delivered today. The back of the box says Made in China so I will be sending it back. If the manufacturer has no regard for the environment, I have no use for them or their products. I'm really trying to go green! If you're concerned about the environment like I am, and/or patriotic, please ask Amazon to start posting location of manufacture in all product descriptions. Until they make this change, please consider posting the location of manufacture for any products you review. The Sweeper is extremely small. It has only one flimsy little roller in the center to pick up debris. The roller is made of thin rubber like the rubber darts for children's dart guns. On carpet it picked up "some" debris but mostly went right over it without even touching it, and on the floor it would just fling the debris forward one or two feet, never actually picking it up. I tried picking up various sizes of crumbs and small pieces of paper and cardboard. It didn't pick any of it up. The only thing it seemed to pick up well was hair and fuzz from the clothes dryer. It seemed like it stuck to the rubber blade but wasn't actually swept up. I do not recommend this sweeper. It's little more than an over priced kids toy.

Fuller Brush Workhouse Commercial Carpet Sweeper
This sweeper is very small - about one-half the size I thought it would be. It does OK in picking up crumbs or dirt off the floor, but is not as good as I thought it would be. I like it enough not to return it, but it is certainly not a "workhorse".

Works best on Berber
I purchased this because I'm tired of my big heavy vacuum and wanted a really light quick way to touch up my floors. I read reviews on a lot of different sweepers and decided on this one. I thought it might be a little better quality without being horribly expensive.I have for types of flooring, medium/low carpet, berber carpet, low nap throw rugs, and linoleum. On the linoleum it doesn't work very well at all. For most type of dirt, it just pushes it in front of the sweeper. If I lift the sweeper then put it down right over top of the dirt, then sweep, it will usually pick it up that way.On the low nap throw rugs it works pretty well, but I usually have to go over each area several times to get everything. I have tried everything from really light pressure all the way to heavy pressure, and it seems different types of dirt work well with different types of pressure. So to get 'most' everything, I would suggest doing a few passes with varying pressures. On the medium/low carpet, it works very similarly to the low nap throw rugs. Varying amounts of pressure work best, with medium pressure being good for the most minimal, quick cleanup. My berber carpet is where this sweeper really shines. Which is good, because my entire basement is berber and I do not like carrying my vacuum down there very often. I don't know if it really picks up everything off my berber, or if it scoots it to where I cant see it, but it sure looks better when I'm done. And I do empty quite a bit from my bin afterward. Now for the mechanism, the sweeper blades are a rubbery type blade, somewhat in the style of lawn mower blades. Then there are four brushes on each corner. I'm not convinced the rubber blades are better than just an all brush sweeper, but they are certainly easier to keep clean. All in all, I do really like this, even though it takes several passes on some of my flooring. It does not replace the deep cleaning of a vac, but it's great for quick pickups and between vacuuming. It's so much better than getting the vacuum out for every little thing that needs picked up!

Maybe I tried it on the wrong flooring type?
Fuller Brush is well just that, a well known brand name, but my hopes for this product were dashed when it barely pick up anything from my kitchen floor (and I have shedding animals, which is why I wanted it) -- it pushed it around most the hair, so I returned the item. I do think it would likely work great on a very low pile carpet like indoor/outdoor carpet which restaurants used to use. (Do they still? I'll have to pay attention the next outing.)

Workhorse Commercial Carpet Sweeper does the Job!
I received this Carpet Sweeper on time and it was very easy to assemble. Because of the wind, we constantly have dry leaves on the carpet whenever the door opens. This Workhorse does the job in a minute!

The order arrived promptly, but the sweeper broke after 4 uses, it has been sitting in a corner and not used! I spent the money on it since it is a commercial grade, but don't be fooled, it is not worth the $$'s buy a cheap one and save yourself some troubleHPS
