Simply Organic Almond Extract, Certified Organic | 4 oz | Pack of 6

I really, really like the "Simply Organic" brand extracts. This almond extract has a nice, crisp flavor that shines through baked goods, ice creams and coffee drinks. Tip: replace the lid with a screw-on dropper to make it easy when you only need a few drops.

Received the almond extract quickly, however I should have trusted the other reviewers... When I opened the box, I found the almond extract was well-wrapped in bubble wrap. I unwrapped the bubble wrap to find the bottle of extract had leaked despite the cap being also (loosely) wrapped in plastic. Unfortunately, the plastic around the cap is useless and fits loosely around the cap and the cap itself is flimsy- it had unscrewed itself in transit and had leaked all over the inside of the bubble wrap. Obviously, this is not the seller's fault, but the manufacturer/packer of the product. This bottle is not ship-friendly. At this point, I find the cap to be so inferior and flimsy, I don't even want it in my cabinet, it's just a mess waiting to happen all over again. I contacted the seller via Amazon Customer Service and they were able to issue a satisfactory resolution.

The cap was a little open and some liquid was spilled but is a very good quality item.

The almond smell is there not sure yet how it will taste in baking items. The bottle was leaking when It arrived .

I like this extract. I was buying it at a much higher price. There aren't a lot of organic brands for this. Almonds are especially important to buy organic, because otherwise they are heavily fumigated and toxic.My shipment contained one broken bottle. (The wet, leaking package smelled heavenly!) I refused the order and contacted the seller, who immediately shipped me out a new batch.Funny thing - the following week after receiving the replacement, I got the original package, repacked by the Post Office with a note from the "wet mail" department saying they were sorry that one bottle was broken! No mention of the fact that I refused it and thought it was being sent back to the seller.I feel the seller really redeemed themselves with their quick remedy of the shipping problem. I will continue to buy from them.

I use a lot of almond extract and the small bottles just don't last anytime at all. I make a vanilla sheet cake that calls for a tablespoon full and then the frosting requires another tablespoon full plus a little more. We've always referred this cake as a shower cake because I got the recipe from a professional baker who made wedding and shower cakes in our home town. My husband always raved about this cake and she so kindly shared the recipe with me. I've made it now for almost 50 years. After running across the Simply Organic Almond Extract and reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try and wasn't disappointed in the quality and flavor. Sticking to the amount called for in recipes seems to be very satisfying in flavor so the strength is good. Very delighted that I found brand that I like and it's organic to boot.

Based on what two other reviewers said, the packaging is STILL terrible. My first order didn't even make it to my doorstop. UPS deemed it "undeliverable". The bottles were probably poorly packaged and smashed en route. Emailed amazon and they immediately sent me a new order with 1-day shipping. Great but while they arrived intact, all 3 bottles were wrapped together and clicking musically together in a medium sized box stuff with filler. I'm surprised that it made it here intact as the box looked slightly damaged.The product itself is terrific. I'm surprised at how strong the extract is, much stronger than any store bought brand! But the subscribe and save feature makes it impossible to pass up. If it weren't for the poor packaging, I'd give this 6 stars!

I make mandelbread bar cookies - this arrived promptly and was well-priced.1/2 c. butter, softened3/4 cup of sugar (I use light brown)3 eggs2 t. vanilla extract or almond extract1 1/2 t. baking powder2 1/2 cups of flour1 cup of slivered almonds1 cup of chocolate chipsCream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, vanilla and baking powder. Stir in flour. Add the almonds and chocolate chips. Shape into 2 or 3 loaves, about 3/4 inch thick. Sprinkle with a cinnamon and sugar mixture, making sure to cover the sides and ends. Bake at 325 degrees for 1/2 hour. Slice the loaves as soon as you take them out of the oven. Allow them to cool. Enjoy!

The almond extract is very good. The top was a little hard to get off I put it between the door and closed it a tiny bit/gently and I heard a little pop and the lid came off very easily. The product is very good a natural strong almond flavour that is great in my marzipan.

Excellent flavour and lovely smell when you open the bottle. I use this in baking and it hasn't failed to pack a punch of lovely almond flavour whenever I've used it. Great quality and should last a good long time.
