Great for detail work
I used this to clean out my spicy peppers prior to dehydrating. The large handle and short blade makes easy work of the fine detail work.

I bought a cheap beginner set and the knives would absolutely not hold it's sharpness. I decided to buy this beaver craft knife and it's lasted about 10x longer between sharpening!

Good beginner knife for chip carving
Knife was sharp right out of the package but I didn’t find the handle to be very comfortable. I ended up returning it and buying the flex cut set which is an upgrade in my opinion.

Bad blade design
Extremely wide flare on blade makes chip carving very poor. Because of the angle/flare, the blade smooshes the wood when you press down and therefore your cuts are not straight at all.

Carving knife
The grip of this knife was not as refined as much as the picture advertised! I had to work on it to fit my needs, the blade seems okay, I will use this knife .
