(purchased on Barnes&Noble $21)This book has 8 novellas, each of them with well thought out twists and turns, intensely described scenes of action and battle, and exceptional story telling. The monologue/dialogue in each story felt real and not forced. Each story kept me engaged. I am fairly new to 40k, I've been watching lore videos on YouTube for a few months, so I have a pretty good understanding of the universe, and these books still provided new knowledge and events of the primarchs that were jaw dropping and rememberable. This book is definitely recommended, it's too bad the scalping is out of control for some books. Always try B&N, also ebay, if you can't find the book you want on Amazon. MOST of the 40k books I've purchased are from Amazon, but I have not yet got to them. I chose this book for my first read, and WOW, I'm hooked!!!!!

I really enjoyed this book. Great characters and epic tales. I found myself being immersed in the stories. I would definitely recommend it.
