I got this tube for use during river floats because it was about the same price as the cheaply made ones I found at Wal-Mart and Farm & Fleet. I thought that based on the reviews and the price, I may as well give it a shot. Boy, was I impressed! This tube is unbeatable at this price. First off, the tube itself is very durable. The material feels thick, and the tube just feels very tough. The river was a little low when I went and at some parts, it got down to only about 3" deep. I am a 210 pound guy and it didn't drag! Although it didn't drag on the river bottom, it occasionally hit logs and branches that were in the water. I know it is durable because not a thing happened to it when it hit these branches and logs. The mesh bottom didn't even tear, like some reviewers have said. It is also amazingly comfortable and convenient. The back rest made sitting in it for 6 hours on my float down the river very comfortable. The mesh bottom is very nice to sit in, too. At 6'1" and 210 pounds, this tube was very comfortable and fit me easily. The cup holders were great, too. They fit a 20 oz soda bottle, or a 12 oz adult beverage bottle perfectly. The handles and rope were very nice, also. I tied a spare tube to mine to sit a cooler in using the included rope and put it through the rings on the outside that the rope is supposed to go through to wrap around the tube. Overall, this tube is great. All of the features combined with a price tag below $20 makes this a great buy for anyone that wants to use it for river float, or just lounging in the pool on a hot day. If you need a new tube, or want a better tube, this is a great one to buy.

After reading the many reviews and seeing these as well as the River Rats (also Intex) at various lakes and rivers, I decided to pick one up. I also picked up the River Run 2 for 2 adults. The River Run is a high quality medium duty River or lake tube. The build is thicker and tougher than a regular swimming pool tube and you notice this right away. The other thing you notice right away is the size. This thing is big for one person. I am 5'7" and when I lay in it, my hands can barely touch the water. When in a lake and drifting, it would be nice to be able to steer a bit with your hands in the water. So for me, maneuverability is just not there. If you want to just float, it is great. Unlike the River Rat, this does not have an empty hole in the bottom of it. It has mesh which is nice for me, but the River Rat was more popular in our group, especially with the grand kids. Where this was real popular for myself was the inflation and deflation of the tube. It uses a standard large nozzle like you would use on an air mattress to sleep on. It is simple and fairly quick to do, especially when you see the size of this. To deflate, you simply unscrew the valve assembly and force out the air. It could not be made simpler. The reason for 4 stars was due to being unable to maneuver this in a lake with your hands. I am taking a paddle out this next week as we camp again and seeing if it is doable. To some, this may be a non-issue but for myself, when I see an area of rocks coming closer, I really do not want to just drift into them and to find out the hard way that one rock may be just pointy enough to POP the River Run. The River Run though does have two air chambers for safety. 7/19/14 UPDATE: Just got back from camping and I would upgrade my rating to 4.5 stars if I could. We used it at the lake and i brought along a double end paddle we use for an air filled 2 man boat and it worked decently for maneuverability. Hey, it was not perfect but I was able to go against the current and a light wind to get back to the area we were at after drifting a bit. I did get a bit wet from the paddle as one end is down in the water and it was still a reach to get paddle in the water far enough to do any good, which left the other end was up over me in the air dripping water. This was not a big deal as with the River Run, you are still getting wet as you float where you sit. :)

These were great for our river run. Mo issues floating on the river, easy to get in and out of (even in a sling). They were comfortable and the hole easily fit my small frame and my husband’s larger frame. These were cute and good quality products overall.

So far, so good. Its a great size with durable material. I found the cup holders to be fine; they are 40% can depth, and slightly wider. Once side did lean a bit as a commenter noted, but not enough to be an issue (unless its a full can and rough waters.) Ample room on the mesh, even to sit cross-legged if one so chose. I was not sure about the mesh, but it does make it much easier to get comfortable, and I found a great angle to maximize the backrest. My one issue is I did not see anywhere that mentioned that you can't use a traditional pump (ie. Cwr or bike pump with red adapter.) The backrest can, but the main portion requires a wider pump, which I do not have. I was able to inflate by mouth, though it took some time. That said, the intake valve let's no air out, so inflation is easier in that sense, and the quick deflate will be fantastic. In all, it's comfortable and feels like it will last. I was able to easily have my younger kids join me one at a time.

My friends and I have gone tubing every weekend this summer as it's an easy thing to do without talking to or seeing anyone else (especially when using your own tube and going to lesser-known spots). I got this one-seater, but can also say the two-seater with built-in cooler is fantastic. We connect them all together and enjoy our drinks and snacks and conversation in the sun. The tubes have netting under the seat, which makes staying in them really easy and safe for kids. The inflatable pillows make them comfy for lounging. I wish they were a bit more comfortable for laying on your stomach, but we can't have everything and that's ok. The rubber bottom is really durable. Where we go is pretty shallow and we sometimes scrape against the bottom of the river or bounce off trees/rocks. We've never worried about popping. They inflate really easily - just make sure you have access to a boston valve pump. It's pretty specific, we didn't have one, and we drove to 4 different stores (Ace, Lowes, Walmart, Target) before anyone knew what we were talking about. They deflate quickly - we recommend letting them dry out in in the sun before folding them up or storing them or the mud/dirt can stain the white upper. Not a deal breaker, but just note. 10/10 would buy again.
