I use this to close my back door when my dog comes back in. It doesn’t close the door the whole way but I think that’s just because it’s a hard door to close.

Using it for my closet door. So far it’s working great. The door closes softly and that’s a good thing for the purpose I need it for.

I bought two of these and both have the same problem.After just couple of weeks the tension spring started to snap.The ratchet mechanism would not hold the tension in the spring.We have hollow doors and very little traffic.Unfortunately it is past the return date, so the only option is to throw them in the garbage and eat the $44 loss.

I bought this for a very specific purpose. When working from home, I like to keep my office door closed. My cats are not delighted with this decision. If I close the door completely, they throw little tantrums which becomes quite a distraction. So I push the door closed but don't let it latch. That way they can push it open and come in whenever they want. But then I have to close the door again. And again. And again. I could install a pet door, but I don't really want to cut a hole in my door. I decided to try this instead.Does it work? Sort of. It puts enough tension on the door that when I open it, it closes behind me but does not push with enough force to make the door latch -- which is what I wanted. I should mention that it is attached to a standard interior door which is not very heavy. I'm not sure if it can be adjusted to add more tension or not. I haven't tried since the cats now have more trouble pushing the door open. With additional tension, I'm not sure they could.The problem is that while it does close consistently after I open the door, it does not completely close when the cats open the door. The wider the door is opened, the stronger the "pushback" effect. The cats push it open only about six inches and it just stays that way. So if I want the door completely closed, I end up having to close it myself -- again. And again.I'm giving it 4 stars because it technically does what I wanted it to do, just not perfectly. It was easy to install and seems durable. I was concerned that since there is constant tension on the device, over time it might tear up my door frame, but I've had it in place for nearly two months and it seems fine.

The Addams Family door opener. Great for turning any door into a haunted house door!I have tried 3 of these. One broke and 2 all suffered from the same effect of turning our door into a squeaky haunted house door. Creeeeeek as you open it and Screeeeeeeeek as it slowly closes it.Sadly this is the only one that fits how this rooms door is inset but it makes a great way of knowing when anyone enters or leaves a room.** Update: Spraying a decent amount of WD40 or other oil into the unit did stop the squeak and it has been working well thus far.

ドアを開けても閉めることのできない家族が多いため購入しました。取り付けには　チョット考えました、本品は右開閉ようにセットされてます　左開閉にするには一旦ばらしてやるようなんですが　アームの位置が商品の真ん中にあるので　面倒くさいから反対向きに付けました。バネの強弱調整とか　あるのでしょうが　何の問題なく使用してます　時折バーンとドアが閉まりますが閉まってるって安心感の方が強いです　近くに畑が有るのでネズミ上がり込み防止策です

ich bin beeindruckt! meine befürchtung war, die tür bleibt offen stehen, da sie doch groß ist. keineswegs. dieses kleine teil schafft es die tür zu schließen. ich freu mich!!!montage super einfach! beschreibung auf englisch und wahrscheinlich chinesisch. braucht man aber nicht, denn es erklärt sich von allein.

Un mecanismo súper sencillo de instalar.Lo que más nos ha gustado es que le regulas con facilidad que esté más o menos duro (para que la puerta cierre con más o menos fuerza) y no sé si el fabricante recomienda que se ponga en el exterior, pero nosotros lo instalamos en dos puertas mosquiteras de exterior y después de dos años y pico están perfectas.Además que se usan con frecuencia y no pierden la intensidad con la que lo regulas.Os lo recomiendo.
