Scrapbooking For Dummies

Now that I double-check, the product photograph does show the words "pocket edition". However, nowhere is that mentioned in the description. The "book" is about 4 by 5 inches, and only 50 pages long. The book is almost 400 pages.At these prices, I was expecting a full-sized book.

I especially like that this book was available electronically...and the fact that it is chock full of all kinds of helpful information to use with and for scrap-booking and paper crafting, including links to a myriad of websites that you can access directly from the eBook, makes it a super value.It is more than a basic information book, it is a guide in which one can get fresh ideas about how to achieve great results. It outlines the process from beginning to end. This part is so helpful because the author mentions stuff that you haven't thought of yet.

I wasn't a huge fan of this book. I found a lot of the techniques and tools they used to be outdated. I'm a scrapbooking newbie, and really wanted this book to introduce me to interesting techniques for putting together layouts. However, I found the instructions to be lacking, the info on tools to be very skimpy, and the ideas for layouts to be uninspiring. There are much better (free) online resources.

My wife asked me to purchase this book for her as she is taking up scrapbooking as a hobby. Just like all the other "Dummy" books, this one is excellent for beginners. She loves it and is well on her way to scrap-bbooking.

This book is slightly outdated, which is the only complaint I have. All of the "Dummy series" are written by experts in their field and the format of the book is just excellent. A must for someone interested in starting to scrapbook.

This book was my gift to a close friend who takes beautiful photos, i added a scrapbook, and a package of sheets to mount her photos on, and she was thrilled when she opened the gift, and discovered how well SCRAPBOOKING FOR DUMMIES addressed scrapbooking from A to Z.

I am still reading Scrapbooking for Dummies. It is a wonderful book for beginning to scrapbook. There are so many references to where you can purchase items needed to complete your pages. The language is clear and the illustrations are easy to understand. I like the book and am so happy too have the book for future reference.Bentley

Traveling during the holidays can be a challenge. The airports are busy and there are many variables to consider. We like to make our life a little easier by shopping online and sending our gifts to our holiday destination. Thanks for sending our gifts intact, on time and making our holidays so stress free!

I always thought scrapbooking was something I wouldn't be interested in. However my DD had started a project with a teacher, who had to leave the school before the project was finished. So i bought this for her as a way to help her do it. With the easy to read text, and suggestions I feel we could tackle the project, and start a hobby together which we will record our experiences as a family! Genius

All the 'Dummies' series of books are good value for money with lots of help in the chosen subject. There were sections in this book that held no interest for me but I found the detailed instructions on how to how to lay out a page and build up an album invaluable. I would recommend this book to both beginners and experienced scrappers especially if your interest is in family history.

I'm a new scrapbooker and have just had my holiday of a lifetime to Disney. I bought lots of resources but didn't want to start putting them into a scrapbook until I was more confident about doing layouts, so I ordered this book. It's an excellent guide. I am reading it cover to cover but you don't have to, you can just dip in and out. It's probably more useful for new or learner scrapbookers rather than seasoned ones. It talks about how to get the best out of photos, layouts, colour, etc. Highly recommended.

Usual stuff from this series of books which is just what I wanted. You can just dip in to bits that you want. The only down side I would say is that, as with most scrapbooking books etc., it is quite American.

This seems to be a well laid out book with clear instructions for scrapbooking. Unfortunately, I still have not found the time to start a scrap book project - but I do intend to do so soon!
