Poseidon Bar Spoon (30 cm / 12 inches)

It really deserves a 3.5 Star rating...If you're coming from a "red-tip" bar spoon, then this will rock your world. But, if you're like me, and have delved into the craft-cocktail scene, you probably have your sights set on a tad better built product.The Good:-This spoon is a single, solid piece of metal. No welds or solder joints to rust out.-The spiral is a decent strength and will allow for a smooth stir-Trident is just strong enough (and sharp enough) to have actual functionality-Spoon end is bent just enough to work well in a Yarai crystal stirrer effectivelyThe Not So Good:-Build is decent quality, but it does feel slightly cheap, and light weight in the hand.-Balance is off, the trident has a very light weight to it-The trident will not hold up to heavy bar use (home users, I recommend washing this one by hand)-The length is about 1-2 inches too short of being very comfortable for stirringAll and all, not a bad bar spoon (I paid $10 shipped), but certainly will not be a great investment for heavy bar use. Do yourself a favor, and go to Sur-le-Table and pick up a teardrop style barspoon, which has a MUCH more solid construction, weight, and balance.Note, I will try to update in a few months with ware and tear

The build quality is excellent, all one piece of metal so no welds to break, the helix is very tight and smooth, the fork is sharp enough to be useful (and dangerous if you leave it in a glass fork end up), but I wish it were just a bit longer. Another 10 cm would be nice to really be able to get some stirring speed, but in a 650ml mixing beaker it is still workable, but less comfortable in a pint, and definitely to short to stir in a shaker tin

Tall enough for any glass I own, you can stab garnishes with it too. (does not give you godly domain over sea creatures)

15 year bartender. All you want and need from a $7.00 spoon. I have dozens of these at my bar. Good spoon.

This item was purchased as a gift. Not only the recipient, but everyone else at the party admired the unusual touch of the triton at the end! Don't know about its performance, but it looked and felt capable.
