This book is a great read for anyone interested in spiritual awakening, as well as writers who are looking to enrich both their writing and their writing experience.Rami and Aaron Shapiro do an excellent job of showing how to access and develop the spiritual aspect of your writing. This book would also be beneficial to anyone looking to deepen other elements of their writing and improve as a writer. Writers of all genres can benefit from "Writing--The Sacred Art."This book mixes entertaining, poignant, and compelling stories with literary and spiritual references. The information and techniques that Rami and Aaron Shapiro present in this book are useful, relevant, and make for an enjoyable and interesting read. My paperback copy is heavily highlighted! I definitely recommend reading this with a notepad or post it flags, because you will want to come back to some of these exercises and prompts several times.I’ve read a lot of writing reference/writing skill development books, but "Writing--The Sacred Art" is the best one I’ve read in a long time. Beautifully written and very helpful! I'm definitely glad I added this book to my writing library.

Good book. Very helpful and informative. The advice given has helped me in better focus and clarity of thought when writing. Especially when I have writers block.

GREAT book! I tried reading it straight though and realized I needed to slow down and work on my writing while reading this book. The author is excellent, and I'm throughly enjoying this book. I would recommend to anyone that would want to do some Spiritual Writing.

This is a fine book and encourages the reader to go beyond the known and tried. The exercises are not unlike what the Marshal Arts aim to achieve--to take one to a deeper source from where words can flow.

This book goes well beyond the usual how-to writing manual, and raises writing to a spiritual art. I highly recommend it as a way to deepen the spirituality within your writing practices.
