Absolutely loved this one. So great to see a woman coming into her own strength while finding a partner to support her own power. Loved it all the way through!

This is how a slow burn should happen?
What happens when two people have been extremely burned by their relationships and get they are not looking for a relationship and become friends with benefits?Beca has been sheltered most of her life. She lost her 10 year old sister when she was 8. Her parents have alway shelter her to protect her from, well everything. So when her, hand picked by her parents, boyfriend dumps her she decides to move to Jetty Beach so she can learn to be more independent.Lucas has sworn of relationships. He was in a relationship where his fiance cheated on him and so he decided to move back home to clean his slate. He would only do hookups, but only with tourists so they couldn't get attached. When Beca moves on next door he has no idea what he is getting into with this shy creature who basically has never experienced anything. She is like the Sandra Dee of Grease and she wants to change that so she enlists Lucas to help her find her inner wild child.Of course they will do it on a friendship basis but as the challenges continue it starts to heat up and it looks like no one will be able get out of this without being burned. 🔥🔥🔥A great slow burn with a happy ending. 😊

Lucas and Becca
Amazing narrators! They both were perfect for the parts and really brought the characters to life. It has been a long time since I originally read this series but the audible made it even better. Sweet and innocent Becca who needed someone to bring her out of her shell and to teach her to allow herself to just let go and take chances and that's exactly what Lucas has done for her. Both still dealing with heartbreak they needed the other to put them back together. This was a fun story with a ton of chemistry and sparks. I'm a huge fan of the sweet hero who isn't all broody and angry! Great book and I'm so looking forward to the next book coming out on audible.

Becca & Lucas
Book 6 of the Jetty Beach series is Becca & Lucas's story. Yet another great summer read. Bad boy meets good girl. Good storyline, plenty of ups and downs.

Entertaining
Cute story about a young girl wanting her independence or trying to take her independence. Of course a bad boy. Or maybe not really a real bad boy but he seemed a little out of reach. It was worth reading.

The Sandy to Danny
Becca needs a shake up in life, she moves to Jetty Beach for a change in life, her new neighbor is bad boy Lucas they started out as friends. He knew not to cross the line, he enjoyed the single life but they are a magnet for each other. Will they both work out a deal or fall in love? I love these Jetty Beach stories they are short and hot!

Lucas the playboy, and the sweet preschool teacher.
Her parents kept wanting her to move home to them after her boyfriend broke up with her, but she has a job she loves, friends, and a new friend next door who keeps pushing at her boundaries, getting her to try new things.

Friends with benefits romance… slow burner but great
**This is Book 6 in the Jetty Beach series. Whilst it can be read as a standalone title, I strongly recommend that you read the other books in the series first, in this case, definitely read book 5 so you get to know these characters a little first.**So here we are… we’ve met Becca before in book 5, Weekend Fling. Her best friend, Juliet, hooked up with Jetty Beach’s gorgeous Irish pub owner, Finn while the girls were there for a surprise weekend away. What we know about Becca is that of the three of her friends, she is the Princess. She’s the sweet, sensible one who is avidly awaiting a proposal from her long term boyfriend, Brandon. It’s everything she’s ever dreamed of. With her best friends both loved up and either married or engaged, it’s surely her turn.Becca’s story starts with what she thinks is going to be the proposal dinner. She’s preened to perfection and pumped up with excitement. But, you can just tell where this is going to go… and that is unequivocally South! It’s not a proposal dinner, but a break up dinner. I mean… who does that? What kind of grade A idiot takes their long term girlfriend out to a posh dinner to break up with them. Not only break up with them but inform them they’ve met someone else. She’s definitely better off without him! With her pride and heart broken, Becca is lost as to what to do. Her overprotective parents want to keep her close… ridiculously and stiflingly close… but that’s not what Becca needs. What she needs is distance, time and a fresh start. Brandon had been her life for four years. The hand picked perfect match that her parents believed would look after her. Now that’s gone, she needs to find herself again.Following her friend Juliet’s example, she moves 3 hours away to Jetty Beach. It’s the independence she needs without completely cutting herself off. She has her friend close by and that’s comforting but not intrusive. She rents a small apartment and is ready to start her new job as a preschool teacher. Life is great, scary but great… until she locks herself out of both her apartment and her car! What a moment for hero of the hour, her new next door neighbour, Lucas Murphy to make an appearance and save the day. They’ve briefly met before when their respective best friends, Finn and Juliet met… but then she was taken and Lucas… well Lucas isn’t looking for a relationship. He’s a quick hook up kind of guy.Like Becca, he’s been damaged by love. His ex-girlfriend, Valerie cheated on him (what an idiot! Who would cheat on someone like Lucas?). He’s now vowed to never let another woman hurt him like that again, so he avoids commitment; only bedding the pretty tourists that come into town. That’s given him a reputation of a player. It’s not really who he is, but it it stops anyone from trying to tie him down.Becca and Lucas quickly hit it off, but still raw from her split and Lucas swearing off romance, it’s completely platonic. Becca needs to find herself and she enlists Lucas’s obvious taste for adventure and spontaneity to help her toughen up to life on her own. With every new experience he plans for her, Becca grows into the woman she always wanted to be… but there’s also something else growing between her and Lucas. A deep attraction. More than the beautiful friendship they’ve created. Realising that Brandon was less than fulfilling Becca’s sexual needs, Lucas suggests a ‘friends with benefits’ arrangement. No commitment, but two friends having fun. The thing is… there’s so much chemistry between these two that this was never going to work.Lucas is a god in the bedroom and teaches Becca to really let go. How could she ever think Brandon was enough? Likewise, how could anyone match up to this in the future? But how long can it last? How long can feelings be kept out of their arrangement, and what happens if they can’t. Will either of them admit how they actually feel? Or will they lose each other to the fear of heart broken?Although this story is a slow burner in the sense of them getting it on together… it’s an enticing and intense journey they both ride. They learn so much about each other and become so much more to each other than they’d dared to consider finding. The realisation stage is really quite sad because they are so obviously perfect for each other… and whereas Becca has grown and blossomed, Lucas’s fear is still deep and scarring. He’s given her so much new found freedom, now it’s time for him to let himself free of the hurt.Excellent story that is sweet and heartwarming. Love this couple so much. Hope they both get their happy ending. Maybe I’ll find out in book 7… the final Jetty Beach chapter.

Luca and bella
I saw this pairing coming. I thought it went on to long and some stuff was odd, like bellas family is smothering and over protective so why would they invite her ex with his new women who he cheated and left their daughter for? They are friends with the parents not him.it just felt unrealistic. Plus if they was hoping she will get back with him that would not help the case.

Lucas & Becca. Lieblingsband.
