This power supply worked fine. As far as how long it lasts I do not know. This is the first replacement I purchased. It does not have the LED indicator but apparently just because the LED is lit does not mean it works as I found out. Thought I had a few bad cameras but I plugged this into each one and they worked fine so I ordered more.

Failed within a year - original was not much better
Worked fine, but for less than a year. I'm not a fan of having to hunt these down every year. The original worked for me for about 3 years I'd say, with light usage.

Used with a Loftek camera
Purchased this product to replace a power supply for a Loftek camera. I had originally purchased a generic power supply that was also rated for 2 amps at 5 VDC. However, the voltage of the generic unit dropped below 3 VDC as the current draw approached 2 amps, rendering it useless. The Foscam power supply worked perfectly, providing sufficient power to operate my cameras.

Terrible quality, don't last long.
My original power supplies lasted quite a while several years (the ones with the LED in them) but these lasted a month and a half, a whole month and a half. What a joke. Does anyone have suggestions on a better quality power supply for these cameras?

would last longer if the camera didn't cause its failure...
Unfortunately these power supplies do not last very long. I'm using them with foscam 8910's and the power supplies do not seem to last much longer than about a year. Even though the power supply claims a 2 amp capability I honestly doubt that its actually rated that high. The power supply is probably taken to its maximum because of how the 8910 has issues with its IR switching. The 8910 will quite often flip-flop between IR on and off, and at its worse at a rate of 1 - 2 times per second (I've measured it). So every time the 8910 switches to IR on it turns on the LEDs and electro-mecnhanically flips a filter between positions (in front of, and away from the lens). That repeated action is mostly likely over working the little wall-wart.I doubt I'll buy any of these again, I've kept the wire and plugs from the old supplies and when the new ones fail I'll replace them with something much better and use the old wire to connect them to the cameras.

Work well but will eventually fail.
The original Foscam power supplies that came with my Foscam 8904Ws failed. There are cheaper 5V 2A power supplies out there but these Foscam originals work better and last longer than the others I have tried. They don't last outside in extreme heat and cold for more than a year or two but they work with the cameras really well when they do work. The best option is cameras that support PoE with an indoor power supply. But if you just want wireless connectivity then you have to use a power supply at each camera and these are the best bang for the buck I have found. Just don't expect these type of power supplies to survive well they all go bad eventually.

Saved $$$ On Cam Replacement!!!
If your FOSCAM WIFI camera stops working and the network light on the back is constantly blinking red even after you try a reset and unplugging for a period of time it may just be a faulty power supply. I found the info on a forum somewhere and figured I'd give it a try over ordering another camera $$s. Well that was the issue! There were no symptoms leading up to the power supply failure. Just one day the cam stopped working, and it must be getting enough power to trigger the warning light but not operate the cameras and WIFI circuity I guess. Hope this also saves someone some money!

Worked for only a week.
Died after a week. This unit had a very long cord which was appreciated, but did not include the power indicator light that was on the stock power supply that came with the camera. Returning for refund and will try a different brand.
