Easy and Required Upgrade
Definitely a required upgrade. Super easy to install and makes worrying about the plug and easy solution without taking the boat back up on the trailer. I also keep my bass boat on a lift so I could reach the plug when I’d come in from fishing, so this simple upgrade solved a lot of problems!

Why are these not stock on a boat
This is a great addition to my boat. My plug is in a painful to get to place and this is making life so much better. Be sure to clean the inside of your boat before installation so as not to have any leaves or whatnot gum it up.

This is a great product; however, the only complaint I would have is relative to the installation. The instructions state to drill a 1 3/4" hole for the control switch. I suggest something slightly smaller - perhaps 1 5/8" and the reason is because if you drill a 1 3/4" hole you have very little substrate (in my case fiberglass) for the mounting screws to hold. Otherwise this is a great boat upgrade and it works very well.

Drains a little slower with the debris basket than the open drain it replaced

Use 5200 3m on the outside flange !

Great addition never forget to put the plug in again

Failed first use
Had it professionally installed and it free spins and the drainplug is stuck inside. Now stuck with a new 1in hole in the boat and 144$ down the drain.
