Cable is twisted incorrectly.
After removing the original HP battery, installed replacement. install was easy and everything snapped into place. then closed up and turned on laptop - and nothing - laptop refused to turn on!!!!again opened up the back, removed the new battery and compared battery with HP's old battery. As you can see the RED wires on HP are on right and the red wires on this battery by default are on left. and HP allows the ribbon connection to be installed either way so it "fits" even if it is wrong. Once I observed this, I was able to twist the cable and reinstall, and it works fine after that. Note that color of wires is not visible unless you peel back the black tape.

Easy to install !!! Just remember to follow the instructions to calibrate the battery.

died after 6 months, product page says 12 month warranty
bought it in June 2022 for my HP Z14, it worked really well in the beginning , but in Mid December started showing signs of degraded performance. Noticed my laptop bottom started to pull out and then when I unscrewed it found the whole battery is swollen . Product page says 12 months warranty but on amazon there is no way to claim warranty. couldn't find a way to contact the original sellers

Did not fix computer...not sure if computer or battery.
This battery is hard to install. Not the fault of the maker but only due to the HP design. Alas this battery did not fix the laptop, did not charge, just like the current one.

Great Value, great performance
Bought this battery after my old one had died after 5 years. The computer fired up right away with the new battery. For the price, this battery couldn't be beat.
