This only works if you have plenty of access all around your Ring doorbell because it was meant to slide over both the doorbell AND mounting plate. Otherwise it just covers up every single mounting point on the doorbell. My doorbell sits about 1/4 of an inch away from brick on one side so I couldn't get the doorbell installed on the mount with the cover on it. I figured you would slide it on the doorbell, then slide the doorbell on the mount. I was wrong. You slide it over the doorbell and mount (if you have enough space) without removing the doorbell. This means the case will ONLY work with the original flat mounting plate and nothing else. Flawed design.

I purchased this product to minimize the Ring’s exposure to water. The ring still got wet and the silicone case trapped water inside instead of allowing it to dry off. Days after a rain I checked my camera and found rust build up around my 2 security screws and water in the case. Surprisingly enough my ring is still working. I don’t have IR or color but I still get motion notifications and it records a decent image.

if the cover is snug around the doorbell, then the mounting holes are blocked. unless you put it on the bracket and then cover both the doorbell and bracket together there is no way of putting it on. However if you have a wedge or a solar bracket like i have, there is no possible way of mounting the doorbell on these types of brackets. In addition, it would be a pain in the butt to keep putting it on and off to charge the battery, you would have to hardwire the doorbell

This fits my original ring doorbell perfectly! I needed something to not only protect it a bit, but I also wanted to make it a bit more incognito. My house has black accents & the silver housing of the ring just wasn’t working for me from an aesthic point. This slips on and off easily and can be adjusted (a bit) to your preference with just a tug. I love it!

This cover fits my Ring Doorbell (1st Gen) perfectly. Time will tell how well it works, but I think this will offer a lot more protection than with out. The only small complaint I have is I wish it came in more colors.

This took five seconds to put on. Our Ring doorbell is on our front porch with a brick facade, so it doesn’t sit tightly against the brick. I slipped this right over the doorbell with no issue. It looks better for the most part (we had a bronze doorbell and the “skin” is peeling in various parts. It looked awful). I do wish the brand was somewhere else (the side?) because I would prefer the Ring label or nothing at all, but that’s just me.

Love this skin for the ring. It protects the device from a deluge of rain water and also makes it look cheap. I know that doesn’t sound like a plus, but it is. Lol! From far away with this skin on, it looks like a knock off video doorbell and I feel would hinder thieves. It’s a great skin, we do still bring the device inside during especially heavy rains to be extra safe.

Great item. My house faces the East which means my Ring is exposed to a lot of sun. Over the years the Ring started to peel. This product protects the Ring and is a lot cheaper than having to by another Ring.
