This blotter has worked out beautifully! I have it on a 23.5" x 52" Ikea desk.Tips:- Allow ample time for it to relax flat, especially if in a cold climate. Don't expect this to happed over night.- Place under a rug weighted with books for a few days.- once on desk keep two weighted items at edges - I used heavy wood off cuts. I simply added them to the corners when I was done working. I did this over a protracted period of time. (see photo)Pros:- Great quality, heavy duty (see photo)- Great coverage- easy to clean- mouse compatible - I don't need a separate mouse pad- stays in place (marginal shifting if aggressively bump the edge)- After proper weighting its lays perfectly flat with no curling at edgesCons:- does take a while to flatten out. But keep in mind this is due to being tightly wrapped and because its a thick quality which you want- I personally do not see this as a 'con' but some might. It is not perfectly clear/smooth visually. It has a texture (see photo) underneath I assume for grip on the desk. You can see through it but it does impart a 'filter' effect.I've had this for two months and expect it to last many many years despite use from 2 adults and 2 teenagers. If you are a lazy bum like me and spend all day at home in front of your computer, setting drinks and other items on your desk ALL DAY long, then these mats are absolutely essential. I bought two new 47" x 23" desks and wanted to protect the entire surface of each desk, so I got two mats in that exact size. Full coverage! I'm glad I did, because it's been a few weeks now and I can't tell you how much these mats have already protected my new desks from all the tea I constantly drink, with my kettle sitting on the desk. Liquids can just be wiped off instantly and easily with a rag, and of course your desk will never get scratched either! I have no complaints about these mats whatsoever and I consider them as essential as the chair I'm sitting in in order to write this review.These mats are exactly as pictured, and exactly as sized. They are not crystal clear, so if you place a picture underneath, it will kinda look like it's under frosted glass. They are a little bit over 1mm thick. Also be aware that the edges are curved (as shown in the pictures), not at 90 degrees. My mats arrived un-bent and in perfect condition in a 2-dimensional FLAT box (pretty much two pieces of cardboard taped together). Be careful NOT to bend these mats, however, because I can tell they may have difficulty in laying flat again once bent.If you have full coverage, one fun thing to keep in mind is that you could potentially change the entire color of your desk! (By putting a solid color poster board underneath or something).

This is literally the perfect mat. Lays flat and has great coverage.

This works well although a bit thin but still good.

I ordered a textured one for my black tempered glass office desk top. It came in a roll which I simply unrolled and weighted down. In about 48 hours it was laying out completely flat without applying any heat :) I transferred it to my desktop and it fit perfectly. I the black color comes through nicely and I don't need to use a mouse pad. My desk is a stand / sit desk which I raise and lower by touching symbols on my desk top ... my touch still registers through the plastic cover so I didn't have to cut out that area as I had originally thought. I really love this product and will probably be purchasing more for other applications in my home :)

Advertised as 36x20, however what I received was 36x16.5. Not the end of the world, the product itself is fine, but that's a pretty big difference. It would be one thing if it was 36x19.5 but off by over 3 inches is incorrectly advertised.

It flattened out easier than I anticipated. We put it down on the floor with books on it for 2 days & then put it under a floor rug for one day, and it flattened out very well. It looks good, and allows me to see the desktop underneath it very well. I am very satisfied with it.

As soon as it arrived, I rolled it backwards ( top in ) and placed it in my hot car, parked in the sun, for about 3 hours. That was all it took to straighten it out. It lays flat and looks great.
