Chinese Ginseng Ficus Bonsai Tree - 4" Pot - House Plant or Bonsai

I've had this tree for a few months and extensively researched growing it as a bonsai. It came in a very small tight pot and I took my time in finding out exactly what to do with it. I found a nice bonsai pot here on Amazon and made up an organic mix of cactus/succulent soil, perlite and small pine bark pieces - about a 1/2 cactus soil, I/4 perlite and 1/4 small pine bark. Be sure to remove most of the original soil from the roots and trim off about 1/4 of the root mass from the bottom and sides. Place some new soil along the bottom of the pot, spread what's left of the roots along it and fill in the sides with the rest of the soil - mounding it slightly. Then trim back each branch to 2 pairs of leaves (or 6-10 leaves - trim back to 2-4 leaves) Nothing is written in stone - just do what feels right. Water when mostly dry. Misting the soil first will prevent mounded soul from running off the sides when watering. I now have myself a fine little bonsai.

Amazing this ficus is huge compared to the pot. I got more then I bargend for. It was 2.5 feet tall. Great buy. My only complaint is that its to big for my Mame pots. Witch was what I bought it for. Great tree nice large trunk and looks good..

The tree arrived early and in supurb shape, I never expected what I got. I paid a lots more money for one that looked almost the same.....GREAT BUY!!!!!
