DexterOutdoors 30403 8" forged chef's knife

With Dexter russell knives, you get what you pay for. Nothing flashy but a reliable blade.

Was going to buy an expensive santoku when I just stumble across this knife. I though, what the heck, so many people loved this knife I am going to give it a shot. The old saw of "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply in this case. Sharp from the get go no complaints 5 star!

the bolster is a little intrusive when trying to sharpen the blade. the bevel on it felt brittle from day 1 i feel like it isn't the best knife to sharpen. once you get it where you want it make sure you keep up with it with a steel. otherwise ive had a great run once you get the blade where you want it

Say what you want about German and Japanese steel, but in America, Dexters are the standard by which knives should be judged. working on putting together a complete roll of these iCuts now, they're sturdy, keep an edge, and easily affordable for a midrange line cook.

Sharp sharp sharp! Proper weight and very easy to handle.

A great blade. Fits comfortably in your hand and has a great weight distribution. You can’t go wrong with Dexter.

Extremely satisfied with the sharpness of the knife. Good good and very good looking. It doesn't feel so comfortable in my hand, but I will get use to that
