Great CD

Bobby "Blue" Bland was a very good Blues singer as opposed to Joe Turner who was more of a Blues "shouter". Bland had many hits in the fifties and sixties and made some fine albums. This is a compilation of some of his best songs and "Share Your Love With Me" was covered by many including Kenny Rogers and Aretha Franklin. If you want a good sampling of Bobby "Blue" Bland, this is not a great place to start.Bobby "Blue" Bland has an interesting history and I'd recommend that anyone interested in blues should check him out.

Ich habe ihn in einem YouTube Video mit B.B.King auf der Bühne gesehen und hörte eine Ausnahme-Stimme, einzigartig. Auf der CD befinden sich ein paar Gitarrensoli der besseren Art. Die Interpretation von Stormy Monday hat was. Der Song nach dieser Nummer gefällt mir auch sehr.

This is a little gem of a compilation to have in any music collection of the blues or soul music. I can't stop playing it. I hadn't heard much of Bobby Bland per se in the past, but I was well aware of his influence on such noteworthy artistes as Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, etc. And now having purchased this recording of Bland himself (at a very reasonable price), I can fully appreciate his influence on the British R & B scene. A must have for anyone interested in the blues and soul music of a by-gone era.

I thought it would have been a bit more "bluesy"
