I like the smell and texture.

Has nice texture and smell, but has done nothing for my dark spots. won't buy it again.

Given I have a very uneven complexion, I thought this was an easy way to even it out. Having used it at least 20 times at night on a clean face and on a spot on my arm (just so I could see if it did anything there) I can say it did not work at all for me. I noticed no discernible changing of pigment. Also and it might be a small point to some, I really did not like the odor of the lotion. It was reminiscent of self-tanning lotions with their burnt smell.The serum made my skin feel smooth when I put it on and the quantity was easy to control.I will continue to use it until the tube runs out and will update this review if I find any change.

Vichy, an European pharmaceuticals company, offers this ProEVEN Night cream, as a safer alternative.What's good:*No hydroquinone (a carcinogenic chemical in studies using rats).*Easy to dispense tube for use as a daily light application serum overnight, or weekly heavy application mask.*Pleasant "honey" fragrance isn't too overwhelming.*Claimed by manufacturer to be safe for sensitive skin and allergy tested.*"Clinically-Proven Formulas". "Infused with Mineral-Rich Volcanic Water" which is good for skin. We'll take their words for that unless results prove otherwise.*My wife had been using this product overnight for around 4 weeks and has seen some gradual lightening of small freckles and spots from sun exposure.Concerns:*This cream is not completely natural has its share of chemical ingredients such as Alcohol (denatured=drying), Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Ammonium Polyacryldimethyltauramide, etc.*The 1.35oz(40ml) sample we received has an Amazon price of $38.43 as of Oct. 25, 2015.

First off, manufacturers say Vichy Proeven Night Cream REDUCES the appearance of dark spots. Following the directions exactly, I’ve given this night cream, which is definitely a gel, a fair trial of one week. I would definitely say my dark spots DID NOT disappear. Did the cream/gel REDUCE the appearance of my dark spots? PERHAPS a smidgen or at least I’d like to think myself into a placebo frame of mind. I mean when you get this kind of beauty product, you want it to work!One thing certain, my face does look brighter, and my complexion’s tone seems to be a little more even. Also, the dark circles around my eyes seem lighter. I don’t think there is any miracle cream on the market, but this one ranks somewhere in the middle of the road with other similar brands. In addition, the smell is powerful, not bad, just powerful, which makes me want to THINK this cream is a true breakthrough. Oddly, the scent reminds me of strong coffee.The cream is loaded with chemicals, which also creates some wishful thinking about the results someone can achieve from Vichy Proeven Night Cream. Of course, wishful thinking is just wishful thinking. It’s not the most expensive product out there. So if you consider the price and the results, adding the cream/gel to the beauty regime is a sensible decision.

I have a small spot on my face that I thought was an age spot but may just be a discoloration from working outside in the sun too much. I have used this nightly for weeks now and I do see it growing lighter and may gradually disappear. I think it is changing all my skin though because it looks better and I didn't even know anything was wrong with the rest of my face, but my skin does look better. There is a faint smell to this that is not bad but for some reason I don't like it. It's not a cream but more like a gel and a little bit goes a long way. My skin is slightly oily and it's working for me. I'm not sure how well it would work on someone who has dry skin.

I've used this product for about 6 weeks so far. It's amazing. I love the smell, the texture, and how lightweight the product feels. I wear it nightly, not as a mask. I've noticed dramatic results so far. I have an slightly olive complexion and had numerous problem areas of hyper pigmentation due to acne and age spots! Today was the first day in years that I haven't had to wear concealer under my powder foundation. I will definitely continue to use this product!
