Borderline boring
Well, I did finish it...but I skimmed a lot of it. I also have to mention that the female lead was completely unlikable. She acted childish and stupid almost the entire book. I found her very annoying. Not the best book.

Pretty Good Book
Very good book! Four and a half years ago, Ashleigh walked out on her affair with playboy tycoon Jake Marriot. Ashleigh also was pregnant with his son but has hidden the fact because Jake declared on more than one ocassion he never ever wanted children. She's shocked to find he's returned to his family home after his father's death, who lived near where Ashleigh's family lives. Working closely with Jake , she finds out the reasons Jake is like he was during their affair. Good ending. Worth checking out.

Very different from what I was expecting
I read alot of Harlequins because much of the time I am looking for a entertaining, fast, light read. SPOILER ALERT *** This book delved into the past childhood history of child abuse from a psychologically ill father. It was not sexual abuse but physical and psychological and it caused the male protagonist to be terrified of being a father and perpetuating the genetics of his father to another generation. I didn't think it was a bad book and I finished it to the conclusion but I don't think I will read it again. It was just too sad for me.

Very different
I hadn't read this plot before in Harlequin Presents, it was a nice surprise, sad but surprisingly good. The main character was a bit dramatic bit overall still good.

A great book!
I loved this book! It is one of the best that Melanie Milburne has written. The suspension is great I wish I was better with words so I could explain how much I loved this book.
