it works great. I do have a few comments though
I hesitated for a long time buying this. It is not cheap. What if it didn't work? Well, it works great. I do have a few comments though:1. It takes a while to heat up. I haven't timed it but it is about 15min.2. You get one good pitcher of steamed milk from it, then the second is okay. Maybe if you did two small ones would be good. I like a big latte so for me I get one good one. Even if you reheat it. You have to cool it all the way down and start from cold water to get the pressure up.So if you want a second one an hour or so later you have to dump the hot water and start again.3. I can steam a few days in a row without adding any additional water so it is good steam, not to much water.4. It is very attractive polished steel and looks great in my new modern kitchen.5. Clean that wand well right after steaming.

Great micro-foam.
I'm relatively new to latte art and milk frothing and wanted to have a high-quality frother at home to make lattes. I've been using the product for the last month or so over the weekend (so roughly 8 times). It gets you great micro-foam, but it's a bit 'airy'. After doing extensive reading about the product, I found that the best way that worked for me so far is to get the water to be extremely hot so that it starts making sound via the safe de-pressurizing hole. Then, froth the milk without airing it (i.e., instead of placing the hole close to the surface for a few seconds, just dig it deep). It will get hot in about 10-15 seconds. I remove excessive foam on top if any, swirl the pitcher a bit, then pour it. The results are really great compared to the expensive espresso machine I have at work.

Very pleased
We have had our stovetop steamer now for over a month, using it several times a week, and are very pleased. It does take some time to heat up so be sure to put it on the stove first, before you start making your coffee. In regards to some reviews raising safety concerns, bear in mind that this is a kitchen tool that requires basic common sense to use (after all, it produces steam that can burn you if you're not careful!) and a little practice to get the technique for foaming milk right (we've had a fun time learning to use it and our results just keep getting better!). However, our experience with this tool thus far leaves us convinced that it's solidly constructed and relatively easy to use.

A huge step up in morning latte
This thing is amazing. I used to use the cheap whizzing frothers for my morning lattes, I thought it was great. Then I came across a coffee website and this came highly recommended. I have the Flair espresso maker and this steamer is a nice addition to my set up. The microfoam is so glossy and silky, just like the paint-like texture ideal for lattes. You have to watch youtube videos how to position the nozzle to make a proper swirl. Practice practice practice. When you practice, try the Blue Dawn dish detergent trick first. Put a drop, or whatever dish detergent you have in the steaming pitcher, add water and perfect that swirl 😁. And of course get a proper steaming pitcher. I thought I can get away by not getting one and decided to just use a coffee mug. Ugh, it didn't swirl, and I tried all the nozzle position. So save yourself the frustration and learn from my mistake.Stop using those whizzing milk frothers and get this instead. It's a worthy investment.

Well built, Works exactly as expected.
Still trying to get used to steaming the milk but it's MUCH better than those cheapo frothers. Was a little nervous about the unit being under so much pressure but have not experienced any issues so far. The steam coming out of the safety valve is a little disconcerting at first and you have to be careful not to burn yourself but other than that it works great!

If you like cappuccini, you will love this!
Love this thing, now finally I can make a "real" cappuccino. I had several espresso makers years ago, all duds, this makes plenty of steam!

Takes a lot of practice
Takes a lot of practice to develop a good quality foam. I can only make enough foam for one capuccino with 11 oz pitcher, with a bigger pitcher loses power and does not create enough foam. Although I have been able to do nice latte art.

Great frother, but very loud!
Great frother, but started making a very annoying high pitched whistle after a month
