Hey, I've been using The Great Adventure Catholic Bible and here are my thoughts:### Pros:1. **Color-Coding System:** The color-coding system is fantastic. It divides the Bible into twelve time periods, making it much easier to follow the story of salvation history.2. **Readable Layout:** The text is clear and easy to read, with a well-organized layout. The pages are sturdy and high-quality.3. **Study Tools:** There are plenty of helpful tools like timelines, maps, and detailed commentary. The introductions to each book provide valuable historical and cultural context.4. **Spiritual Growth:** This Bible includes reflective essays and questions that help deepen your spiritual life and encourage personal meditation.### Cons:1. **Price:** It's a bit expensive compared to other Bibles. The extra features are great, but it might be a stretch if you’re on a tight budget.2. **Size and Weight:** This Bible is quite large and heavy, making it less portable. I love this Bible! This is the best Bible I have ever owned, Catholic or Protestant (I'm a convert to the glorious Catholic Faith). I love how the Great Adventure Catholic Bible connects the verses on each page to those on other pages and in the Old or New Testament. This helps me to see how the Old Testament and the New Testament connect where it does.I love the fact that the words of Our Lord, Jesus Christ are in red. This is the first Catholic Bible that I have ever seen that has the words of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in red (red letter addition).I also absolutely love the Timeline of Salvation History in this Bible too. Each book is color-coded to show where and how it fits into Salvation History. Each new period in Salvation History has a thorough introduction to lay out the narrative books in that period and all the major events in that particular period of Salvation History.When and if this Bible wears out, I will buy another copy, this is truly the last Bible I will ever buy!!!I do recommend that you buy the color-coded Bible tabs specifically made for this Great Adventure Catholic Bible. This helps to go right to the book you're looking for and to easily see the Timeline of Salvation History.I cannot recommend this Bible, the Great Adventure Catholic Bible enough! This Bible will truly change your life, your relationship with Holy Scripture, and therefore the Most Holy and Blessed Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It will also change the way that you look at and think of Salvation History because you will understand it much better. I say these things because this Bible changed me in all these ways and more!The Great Adventure Catholic Bible is truly a great gift from God Himself!!The price may be high, but trust me, it is WELL WORTH IT!! I didn't want to pay $59.99 but God assured me it would be money well spent, and as always, He was right!! (I usually don't write very long reviews, but I felt the Holy Spirit urging me to write this review, to spread the word of this great Bible).

I love everything from Ascension Press. I love the imitation leather, the introduction of the different books, and how it stays in line with the Bible in a Yeat podcast. I also love the RSV-CE, because of how easy it is to read and understand. I also love the font and how it is big, without being too big, so I can read it without straining my eyes. I also love the explanations of the key events in the Bible. The only thing I can hark on is that there are only 2 ribbons. The Bible in a Year reading plan usually has 3 readings from different parts of the Bible. I am having to use an index card as a bookmark. But this is only a minor detail for me. The entire thing is amazing and I love it

I recently had a one-on-one with God. Feb 1, 2024 to be exact. I was on my death bed (AGAIN) and while lucid, I heard clearly as if he were standing beside me... "I'm not done with you". And... "How many times do I have to do this for you." And the next day, fever (104ish) broke, and i was out of ICU after a few more days. I stumbled upon the CHOSEN ( It's fantastic, every Christian or even non-practitioner who wants to know more about Jesus should watch it), and through the main actor, John Roumie, I found Father Mike Schmitz on the "Hallow App". There's a program called "Bible in a year" podcast there on Hallow and on Ascension app. This is the bible he uses, and it's very easy to study from. I bought the chapter tabs and installed them too. Great looking and useful Bible for those who desire to KNOW. God bless.
