Simply Genius
So simple its genius. some assembly required. I ended up using really small zip ties in few spots to keep area where i had multiple sides to attach. I also used a couple small pieces of pool noodle as someone else suggested to see the edge. I have water lilies so I wanted to stay away from them.It was puzzle to set up as my pond is irregular shape but when I was done, i was very happy as I felt secure taking the net down because Mr Heron has been stalking my pond.Herons don't like things touching their legs. SO I though this should work.I watched from afar a raccoon even try to get into the pond and was baffled and eventually walked away.the fish took a couple of days to figure it out. I have it covering half of my 15X18 pond. Here is your hot tip from me..hula hoops..yes I have hula hoops in my pond that corral my water hyacinths and water lettuce. It keeps them from going in my skimmer box and clogging it up and once they grow you cannot even see the hoops, herons don't like hula hoops either because it bangs into their legs.I am happy I can take the ugly net off, still see my fish but feel like the heron will be baffled at that giant spider web I created over my pond which really other than than the pool noodle pieces..you can really see at first.

Works great in protecting my fish!
I put together 4 of these and placed them by where the heron always fished. After being in the water a week my fish weren't hiding when I'd approach the pond. Since then they all swim up to greet me every day. I have not seen the heron for quite awhile.. He used to come by several times a day to sneak a fish. I have a crane that fishes the pond late fall and throughout the winter so plan to put the rest of them around the edges where he typically stands to fish so I'm hopeful they will work in keeping him away too!

Kept leaves from gathering at the bottom.
Helped keep leaves from getting into water. Not overly noticeable. Like the shape since our pond is oddly shaped

No directions
Came from China, no directions, numerous clips that are breaking my fingernails. If they do not float I am going to be very angry!!

Does not float well
Seemed like a good idea, if only it floated "on top" of the water.

Much more aesthetic than a net!
I ended up buying several boxes of these, to cover my pond. Since my pond is set into the side of the house, and above ground height, I couldn't use a net, as I had nothing to put fixtures to. This product solved that problem. The pond protectors form an aesthetic covering to my pond, and leave no gaps except round the actual edges of the pond, which is inevitable and acceptable. It took a while to fix it all together, but then I did need 120 pond protectors! My only criticism is that the connectors that are supplied are in an insufficient quantity to what one needs. 60 are provided in each box, for 20 protectors, and, if you do the Maths, you actually need 90 per box. I resolved this by buying small size wire cable ties, which were actually easier to fix onto the hexagons, although I did need to trim each one. Having spent a fortune at a local shop for packs of cable ties, I found some very cheap ones on Amazon to complete the job.

Protection against cats
I bought these for my pond to protect my fish from one of the neighbourhood cats for the price I thought they were good and although I was worried they wouldn’t look nice to be honest you don’t notice until up close, when the cat tries to put his foot on them they just sink so protecting the fish and when let go they float again, the cat has now given up stalking my fish and no more missing fish since they have been on, in my situation it has worked 100% I highly recommend.

heron still got our goldfish!
Unfortunately, this product didn't stop the heron from stealing (and eating) all our goldfish. So whilst the product looked better on the pond than the netting, and was more user-friendly than the silver windmills we also bought, the heron still managed to get our fish. A life size statue of a heron also didn't work - the heron simply sat next to it!So if anyone has any other ideas, I'd be very grateful.

Great product.
Great product. Bought to help maintain leaves during this autumn on our patio pond. Really impressed with their ease to assemble and making them the right size to fit. It'll mean picking leaves off when they land but that's easier than having no protection. It's also a benefit as our platinum Koi likes to jump and catch flies, which is cool to watch but on one occasion he's jumped too far and onto the patio and was very lucky I was there to scramble him back in the pond so least these will stop that happening.

Looks neater
Will be honest i waas very doubtful about these as some reviews were unfavorable.. for the price I thought I'd give them ago, they are a little fiddly and if you put to much pressure while connecting together with the clips the plastic snaps, luckily I didn't need the full amount, I also trimmed them ( very easy to do) to the shape of the pond and secured them down with some lawn pegs i had. I didn't want them floating on top anyhow. Yes I recommend, and the seller. If I see any issues I'll up date.. as long as my fish are happy...I'm happy
